News is already free. The News+ includes magazines and some newspapers... one magazine on a monthly newsstand price is close to the $10 that Apple is asking for the service...
News is free but many of the links require a news plus subscription. The magazines are okay but I already have a magazine subscription service so the news part to include the paid news content is worthless to me.

True, but let’s see if bundling ends up saving anything. I have iCloud, Arcade and am trying News now, and a free sub to ATV+.
What I mean is, apple charges that much for apple music alone. I don’t see them giving the rest of the services for free, maybe apple tv (that’s essentially what they are doing now).

Don’t get me wrong, if people can save money on their subscriptions I’m all for it, it’s just I don’t see that happening.

Until they see all the churn numbers for ATV+ who don’t renew after the free year. At that point they will want the subscriber numbers, so could make it a very attractive bundle. Millions each paying $1 is better than thousands paying $5 (or however the math will work).
I'm also waiting to see how many forget to cancel and get charged since Apple is sneaky and doesn't just let you cancel and keep the rest of the sub like almost every other company does. Maybe it's because it's free though and you didn't technically pay for it? I would just cancel but sometimes something good shows, just not enough to make it worth paying.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the "One" Branding? It felt very Microsoft to me.

Given they have been using the + naming in so many places.

It should have been called Apple +.

Bundling of services people don’t want. As opposed to making the services more attractive. Sure that’ll fix it. Who in the right mind would pay for News or TV+?
It worked for the cable companies ... until it didn't ...then it started working again. I would drop TV from my Verizon bundle in a moment if they didn't make it more expensive to keep everything bundled together.

Since this is just a rumor at this point, I'm willing to wait and see what they call it. I am not necessarily put off by the "One", but neither does it inspire me to drop a load of cash at Timmy's door.

Again. Keep dreaming. If they have to slash the price that much, they'll just kill the service.

Still not sure why all the hate for TV+. It's a startup and is Apple-only content... not like Hulu, Netflix or Disney that either has purchased licensing to vast catalogs of content or that has been building their content for decades... some of the stuff on TV+ is pretty good. Obviously, some not so much... but I just don't get the hate.

give me a subscription of apples movie library and im in, i dont need apple news or apple tv+
You do realize Apple's "movie library" consists of about 6 movies right now, including Greyhound and The Banker. The rest of the movies aren't released yet. Apple doesn't have any rights to the massive number of movies on iTunes, the money from that goes to the movie studio primarily.

So, then it’s really Apple One Apple, or Apple Two, or Apple Three. HBO made a better move w/ their Max. Cleaner, and easy for the consumer. Ordering the basic Apple One will no doubt be accompanied with occasional offers to upgrade - annoying notifications.

How would any of you propose a mix and match bundle would work? I don't think it'll happen, but...

First, introduce new iCloud sizes / tiers for people who don't want bundles:
100GB - £0.99
500GB - £2.99
1TB - £4.99
2TB - £7.49
3TB - £9.99
4TB - 11.99
+£2 per TB extra (up to 8TB max @ £19.99)

Bundles:
*The 1TB iCloud option can be selected as one of the services in the bundle.
All bundles include 2x HD movie rentals per month.
For Apple Music subscribers, the 2x HD movie rental can be swapped for the Apple Music 'family' plan instead.

1. Any 3 Services for £16pm
2. Any 4 Services for £20pm
3. The whole lot, including Apple Music 'family' plus 2 free HD movie rentals per month for £25pm

Sure, it’s all original. But it’s a very small catalogue. I don’t think it gets hate, people just don’t find a lot of value on apple tv.

Give us the option of Apple Music and Apple News combined at a reduced yearly rate.

Where I have I read this (or something very similar) before... hmmm

At any rate, Apple is going to have to bring something to the table to make the bundle worthwhile... and I get that the goal is two-fold - (1) to prop up the weaker offerings and (2) to make us think we are getting a "deal" with the ultimate goal of propping up Apple's bottom line with services... just don't see it happening as a real value to the customer.
