Updated date is tomorrow. So have to wait till midnight. Anyone have any luck for a black 16 sprint in Atlanta?

There was a 16GB Black Verizon available for pickup at 10:00pm EST in Bethesda,MD but not in the Delaware store I was looking for so some stores have stock I guess. It seems to be gone now though

Another no-go from SoCal. To be fair, I only tried for about 20 minutes, and then pulled the plug, given what others said here about there likely being no shipments on Sunday.

I've got good feelings about tonight, right? Fourth time is the charm!
:)

hopefully! I want to get it directly from apple. I called over 40 stores (radioshack/verizon/apple) in 80 miles. I found one that actually HAD a phone and I drove 2 hours to go get it. it was the last one in the store, i was in the process of activating it on my plan when the sim card was dead. the shop couldn't do anything about it and no stores are selling the new i5 sim cards yet.
*criez*

so close, yet so far.

So do they post their entire inventory right at 10 pm? Or is it updated sometime between 10 and 4 am and you just have to get lucky/persistent to get in on it?

Thanks in advance!

No luck searching for a 32GB Black GSM model in the CDT. I'm assuming whatever stock will be sold for the night becomes available around 10.

saw nothing tonight in the southwest CT/NYC area... looked at all at&t models and nuffin!

No 64GB black AT&T in Texas. I'm starting to think they forgot to manufacture this model

I got the same feeling. I've been searching for it from day one this program started. [I'm one of the victim of Best Buy's pre-order debacle]

This whole pick up nonsense stinks

Nothing in Socal, NYC or Atlanta, those are the zip codes I know. Really? Nothing was shipped across the country. Or people bought them in the 30 seconds before me? I had my cart full before 10pm and watched it click over and be time to buy, but nothing.

I think this shows they are very behind on their production. Big problem. I hope this gets more attention because it's super annoying. I bet this is why they are doing the online because they knew they were short and didn't want to craziness at each store. I might get sketchy if there's people in line for a while and don't get one.

oh apple.....

Are we even sure that the people trying to reserve online at 10PM are getting first dibs on new inventory? What if the inventory that's being updated at 10PM is the leftover stock that didn't sell during the day? That would make more sense than zero iPhones being shipped to stores in Southern California, New York, and Atlanta.

I tried to check stores across the country whenever it hit 10PM in their respective timezones. There was one store in Northern California that had a black 64GB on Verizon, but didn't have stock of any other models. No other stores I found had any stock whatsoever.

I was told by an apple rep that as soon as they get a shipment, they will inform everyone who is currently on the store floor that they are available for purchase. Anything that shows up on the online inventory system are shipments that happen after their retail store has been closed.

It may not be the same case for all the Apple retail stores, but I do have a feeling most of the stores in California do this as I have been checking their inventory system every night to find nothing--while the retail employees tell me that they receive shipments daily.

this makes sense about the availability of items at 10pm for reservation

Wow ok, that could make sense, but you have to hanging around the store in the middle of the day and get lucky to buy one? Yeah it'd be strange for them to get shipments in at 10pm or around then. Super annoying.

When I got mine, they updated right at 10:00. I checked about 40 minutes later and it said they were still on stock on my model.

The first day this program started there was one store near me that had white 16gb in stock, it disappeared within 2-3min. Haven't seen anything since that first night.

So I went to the Apple store today to talk to a sales rep to try and get more info. She said that there's a morning and an afternoon shipment of iPhones everyday. The morning shipment is available to the public when the store opens, but the afternoon shipment isn't sold in the store and is held for reservations at 10PM-4AM.

I'm not sure if this is accurate, I'm just relaying it. She also said they didn't get any Verizon iPhone's today from either shipment.
