I gave up today, local AT&T had a black 64, and I wanted a black 32 so I just got it while I could. If I regret it I always have 30 days to downgrade, but I have a buyer waiting on my ip4 so I just bit the bullet. Good luck to everyone still trying to snag one!
My guess is it just means your stores don't have any in stock for your chosen model.. My stores didn't have any of the 32 black AT&T models, but when I researched the 64 models, a few of them had them, but sold out within 20 mins.
Guess we try again tomorrow!

that's that problem. You said till what time? Didn't they tell you to stay up till 4am?
Thats what I was doing since this program started. I just hit the luck today for my 64GB black. I think I'm lucky to place that order at around 10:10 CST. Good luck.
Does anyone has any idea on how much time apple takes to send out the order ready (for pickup) email after the initial order email?

You seem to be under the impression that Apple updates the inventory anytime between 10PM and 4AM. I'm not sure where you got that idea from.

I was able to snag a black verizon 32gb from legacy village last saturday using the pick-up in store option. Just keep trying!
uh...cause i waited till 3:30 before i feel asleep. When i waked up around 5am with the computer on the inventory was listed with 15 slots open. However, the update of inventory was 4:15 am. I tried to refresh it..and there were no more available.
I see the items shows 'In Stock' right after 10 pm (local timezones) and ppl snatch'em within mintues. I may be wrong too. I was able to book mine at 10:03PM (CDT) last night.... Keep trying...good luck.
Few tips from my end,
1. Have your correct shipping/billing address updated with your carrier (Apple pulls that information when you place the order with specific carrier)
2. Have your credit card information saved in your Apple account (some don't prefer this though)
3. Have the item added in your cart (along with plan selected) and have a random store selected.
4. Don't close that browser window, so that you can keep trying every night (right at 10pm). That way you can save couple of mins entering details.
When you have all the above in place, you just need 2 mins to place your order. Thats what I did to place mine (I had a tough time entering all these details during pre-order on 14th-Sep).
Good luck ppl.

Almost all Atlanta area stores were showing stock tonight for 64gb black.
Finally got my order through, just have to remember to cancel my preorder once I get the email saying the reservation is ready.

Finally got my black 32 AT&T model in the SouthWest CT area. I'm in the NYC metro area, unfortunately neither of closest stores to me had it, but got one in Danbury, CT (about 35-40 min drive for me).
A bunch of the stores close to me had every at&t model except the black 32 which is what I wanted. Almost broke down and got a 64 black last night, but glad I waited another day!
Seems White Plains, NY and New Haven, CT both still have 64s at this time!
