Apple to Launch Personal Pickup for iPhone 5 Tonight

A Small Question, if I may?

Hi all,

N00b here, and wondering if logging in on a nightly basis might not be a good use of time. Are the stores' inventories updated on a nightly, or semi-weekly basis? That way, if I knew that Apple sends out inventory on Tuesdays, (for Wednesdays), I would simply login only on Tuesday nights, (or are they really updating their stores on a daily basis)?

Just curious...

as far as I know...you check every night...they could update anytime..till 4am i guess. I think shipping is better
 
so to my understanding, the stocks are updating at any time between 10 pm and 4 am? I've been trying my local store with no avail... i tried at 10 pm even, and i didn't see anything. if i were to drop into the store do you think they may have some to walk in and buy? has anyone experienced this?

no walk in...unless u get lucky. shipping can come anytime to the stores...so gotta check up on that... they say after 10 pm because they gotta get shipments and update inventories
 
Another night of no luck in SoCal.

Last night, trying to get any Verizon phone, I struck out for four straight hours.

Not feeling good about tonight. Concerned about the rumor that there are no new phones on Sunday. Anyone having any luck tonight anywhere?

i called and they said they getting some in..at least in my area...so i dunno... why not just ship it

I talked to apple support and the employee I spoke with said his supervisor said that each apple store is getting new shipments every day.

has anyone here checked and been successful at a time that wasn't exactly 10pm?

koban4max, I can't have it shipped because I've been told Apple will only ship to the billing address, and then need someone to sign for it. As a guy who works, 12 hours a day... come on Personal Pickup!

Then that case...yes..you would need to pick up...however i'm in cali..socal...they said they get shipments today..(hopefully)..time is the hardest part because dunno when they arrive and update.

You can check your order status on Apple's site and you should receive a text when it is ready too. Also I would switch your account email ASAP.

I'm looking for either a 32 or 64 GB in black for Verizon. I'd check Somerset but it would come up unavailable each time.

You're clicking on the check availability link and putting in your zip code each time, right? When I got the 32GB Verizon the other night, it was available for 5-10 minutes as a debated on waiting for a 64GB model.

No, I figured if it didn't update at 10 then they didn't have it. Guess I was wrong.

Boston?

sorry to ask again, but has anyone received anything from ANY Boston store? I've not seen anything so far in any inventory and just wondering if I should give it up and just order online.

Also, does anyone know when we will be able to just walk in to the store and buy one? Like, when was stock generally available with the iphone 4S?

On Friday night there were 64gb att phones in stock at the Boylston Store..

I was able to snag a black 32gb Verizon at the UTC store Thursday night for Friday pickup. It was available right at 10:00 PM.

I don't think any company delivers on Sundays. I could be wrong. I will check it out at 10pm tonight...However, there has been no movement at all in Buffalo, NY since this started, at least from my point of view, looking for 2x 64GB Black AT&T.

aw poop. so there might not be any shipments tonight either? I figured since tomorrow was monday, there might be some. I've been looking for a black 32 Verizon phone.
