Wow, this event seems to be something! Never have I seen Apple announce an event with a countdown. And it being Live as well, I guess its about more than ugly antenna bands then... Looking forward to it. I hope they release iphones, new ipads, a new 4K iMac and an iWatch I won't even understand why I feel the urge to buy (but will nonetheless) Its gonna be cool.

Look what happens when I put the picture under a black light!

I have never seen Apple post a countdown to one of its events. Clearly, it seems that they think this event is a big deal. I have a feeling this is going to be one of the defining events of "Tim Cook's Apple".

Depends on bitrate and how long the keynote lasts. Ballpark, figure at least 500MB (1000Kbps and 1 hour), and potentially up to 5GB (5000Kbps and 2 hours).

The bit rate is very high - the last one killed my data in about 30 mins

Probably going to have to pay for extra data this month lol.. Unfortunately, I can't download Safari on my work computer. If only Chrome were allowed to indulge in the livestream glory. If anyone finds an alternative stream that day, let me know ;D

It's unusual for Apple to do a countdown and put it on there website. I don't know if they have ever done that before. Either Apple are changing thre way they do things, or along with the new building at the Flint Centre there is something big coming.

Keeping my expectations low, as long as there is a bigger screen iPhone I will be happy :)

I do have some priorities - wanting to see my children before bedtime being higher than a keynote.. :) I listen to audible books now on my phone through a speaker to while away the driving...

That said, I will still be hoping the meeting finishes early!

Putting your kids BEFORE a keynote

Haha just kidding mate :D

Has no one noticed the grey shape at the top?

Someone, good at Photoshop.

Cut that top grey shape out, rotate it 90 degrees, make a mirror copy, bring the two halves together.

iWatch :)

FYI at the bottom of the apple.com/live page:

Live streaming video requires Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later.

I was all ready to work from home but alas a meeting pops up and I have to be on-site.

Meeting at 11 - hopefully we get done before 12 so I can drop off my co-worker and run over to the local mall. I'll watch the keynote on my iPad at the Starbucks outside the Apple Store just like last year :apple:
It may behoove you to watch it inside the store, with your credit card at the ready.
