Wow, they are going to broadcast this live. Apple is confident its going to be a great event.

Gruber says:

I’ll eat my hat if this isn’t largely — maybe even solely — about Apple Watch.

Considering the larger venue and live stream if this is solely a Watch event there has to be more too it than here's pricing and when it's available for sale.

Already made the drinking game/bingo card.

Tim Cook says 'This is something only Apple can do' - 1 shot.

You better be pouring small shots or you won't live through the afternoon.

Or at least make sure to pass out before his wrap-up.

While Personally I will not be buying an Apple watch. I look forward to them announcing the prices of the various models and seeing how many people faint or fake clap.

If i go with a watch, the new Pebble is in my future

Agreed. I think Gruber's wrong on this one. Given the time lines, even if it doesn't include hardware announcements, it'll pretty much have to include information about, and the possible launch of, the new photos feature.

...but I'll still *hope* for the rMBA.

Besides more info on the specs, materials, and pricing of the Watch and bands, I think they'll spend a bunch of time on the faces and other software:
  • Faces - Apple is pitching the idea that the software is indistinguishable from the watch. Faces is the best embodiment of that and I think Apple will spend a bunch of time showing off the incredible faces they have made.
Some might mistake these for eye-candy, but I think Apple sees these as absolutely critical in terms of people accepting the Apple watch as something they actually want to wear. The faces are going to be a big part of what makes the Apple Watch something that people will find beautiful.
  • Apple Software - We have been given some idea on what the watch will do, but don't really know much about the software. Apple is going to show it all to us.
  • Remember the rumor about Apple helping 3rd-party developers to finish apps at the Apple campus? The best of those apps are going to be shown as well.

I think they might also introduce some new band options.

The way the background graphic has one of its "leaf points" nuzzling right up to the bottom side of that Apple logo is a bit provocative...makes me want to "Spring Forward."

Possible Event Timeline
*Spring Forward= Spring release for Apple Watch, move clock hand and watches forward to the future"
Talk about record profits and sales, esp. with iPhones
Go over new Apple Stores and how they are going to be redesigned for *drumroll*
Apple Watch! Announcement of new features, improved battery life, price brackets, and preorder and shipping dates
iPad mini 4?? The 3rd gen was a .5 generation upgrade at best.. and left the mini with an old design and still color inaccurate display compared to the Air 2
While on the topic, it would be a great time to announce an iPad Pro
iOS 8.2 release today with a public beta of iOS 8.3 with hundreds of new emojis and other features next week
Spec bumps on macs (Likely saving the 12" Macbook Air for WWDC 2015!)

Hmm will be interesting, it will focus on mobile only products though guaranteed, because it is Apples usual event just after the MWC conference next week. So I will imagine the Apple Watch and the iPad Pro or whatever they call it.

I'm glad this is next month. I'm already over my Comcast data cap for this month. No streaming for me until the 1st.

Spring forward? The battery life issue is solved by means of using a clockspring. It turns a generator which charges the battery. The stem winder actually does wind a spring.

Adding an hour to the battery life may really help the stats. Genius!

i'm gonna go big and assume this is for the 12" surface pro killer, not just 'some regular old mba.'

the time is RIGHT (whether it technically is or not)... hurry up, apple!!
