Sucks that I can't watch it. I guess there will be another stream somewhere around though :)

Incidentally, I wonder how many Apple fans would have paid for a live stream into previous media events? I suspect the company could have made a nice chunk of change if they were capable of reliably streaming these events in the past.

I was thinking the same. In the UK, we have a PPV service called Sky Box Office which shows live boxing matches and sports events for about $20 each. I was thinking, Apple could easily sell these streams as PPV events and make an absolute mint! :D

Don't want to jinx it or anything but I really hope they've overestimated the number of viewers so servers don't crash and we're all left with our... "genitals" in our hands (as we say in my country) :D

Can't watch it on my PC?! We'll see about that. I may have to use my iPod touch.

Pretty awesome though. It's about time.

I CANT WATCH THIS EVENT BECAUSE I DONT HAVE SNOW LEOPARD
WTF!!!
i have 10.5.8

this frikin sucks
can anybody tell me how i can watch it without the need of snowleopard

I'm hoping that people will be posting hacks/ other getarounds once the stream goes live.

I don't know why anyone with a Intel Mac wouldn't be running Snow Leopard... The upgrade was 10$ ffs...

And Quicktime X is, um, Quicktime X and Leopard doesn't have it.

So my 12" Powerbook cannot view an event where I was hoping a new Air would be revealed, so I can park this old machine and join the, um, magical world of Quicktime X. Really? Live streaming requires Quicktime X? I've watched too many live streamed webinars to know that is not true. And I watched them on my Powerbook running Leopard...

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A400 Safari/6531.22.7)

That's Awesome! I'll be watching.

HTTP Live Streaming does need Quicktime X, get over it.

Do you think we will see a release of the new iPods tomorrow, or just an unveiling? I really, really need a new iPod ASAP.

Well announcement at least for sure... But I would expect them to be buyable within 1 month.

Do I have to watch it from the current time? Can I start from the beginning (while it's going on)?

And does this mean the keynote stream is immediatly available after event/keynote ends?

Nobody knows the answers to these questions but the technology allows it.

Wow - a live stream! Hope nothing more urgent comes out, like an incremental update to a Panic app or something to bump it off the front page.....

If it's anything like the E3 live streams, then I would think you could go start from the beginning, or play it from where it currently is.

And it's a possibility that it will be available after the keynote.
