No Apple TV here so I'm genuinely ignorant on the matter: does it have/support Bluetooth keyboards at least? I've tried Bing on Xbox 360 when I first got in the beta program and never used it after the first time. Aside from the inconvenience of relatively small font on a big screen far away, it was a nightmare to navigate with the controller, let alone using it to "type" things in.
Perhaps the new Mini will have a renewed Front Row interface and be a smarter Apple TV?
In other news Apple's rubber band patent, all 20 claims on the patent invalidated.
Great timing I must add, inbetween presidential debate and product announcement this isn't going to grab many headlines today.

A decent incentive to get an TV. Wish I had one now![]()
Watching live "Apple Events" broadcasts on an Apple TV feels just a tinge Orwellian![]()
So much for people who have to work.....

Apple's rubber-banding (overscroll-bounce) patent is still going to go through a lengthy proces before it may or may not be invalidated. There can be more than one non-final Office action. Even a "final Office action" is not final at all. It can be reconsidered by the Central Reexamination Division itself, and the last decision by that division can be appealed to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences (BPAI), which is like an USPTO-internal appeals court. Remands by the BPAI to the Central Reexamination Division cause further delay. When the USPTO is done with the patent, its decision can be appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. And theoretically, a Federal Circuit decision can be appealed to the Supreme Court, which doesn't hear many patent validity cases (but does take a look at important issues from time to time).

The only people who will care about this are the various fanboys who think Apple is the devil and troll on sites like Engadget, CNet etc.
Though many of us won't get to see the live streaming broadcast, we can still get to watch it later as a podcast, which is how we usually get to see them anyhow.![]()

If it's anything like the recent iTunes Festival broadcasts you'll be able to start watching them at any time after the event starts.
Engadget and CNet are troll sites? ... okay...
