Well I hope we are on, but at what price?

Will not pay extra $100 for 5.5 iPhone, and I hope Apple understands that they will need to keep the price competitive with other larger phones.

I'd pay $299 for a 5.5" with 32GB of storage and 2GB + of RAM.

This would actually be something i would believe, since its only an announcement from Apple on stage..

Only them i'll say an iWatch is on the horizon.

With what the delays.

Apple needs more ram in the iPhone because they need the extra memory for the bloated translucency and/or other convenient features that Apple put on themselves to do to make life easier for customers.

And maybe for games too,,, but it's mostly for iOS 8. They probably released iOS 7 was a bit slow on other devices, not as smooth, and iOS8 on iPhone 5/5s would probably be no different.

I could be wrong, but why else would they add memory? Just to keep up with the Jones-ed, or for the sake of it?

There's a reason behind everything.

'They are, but they're not.

But maybe.

Battery issues

No, it's not coming.

Well, maybe, not this year.

Yes, 2015.

Wait, late 2014.

Hold on hold on, no

Maybe

Display issues

It's not coming due to issues

3 versions expected to come in 2014

Well, make it 2015

More issues, not coming soon.

It's coming with the iPhone 6, (maybe)

We're not sure'

Sums up the last few months.

I'm sure apple will announce something but it must be in such small quantities to avoid all the leaks, unlike the iPhone 6. I suspect it's an appleTV type deal and they don't really want it to be a major part of the business. Apple has invested heavily in watch related people that they have something in the works but this particular rumor seems like filler with no killer. We don't even know what kind of OS it's running no developer leaks or anything.

In a nutshell, profit.

I think apple should release a new product every quarter rather than trying to do it all at once... to space things out a bit.

Hhmm... Maybe this is why apple switched our incoming caller ID on the iPhone to just display a small circle pic of your contact? To get us ready for how it'll be displayed on the iWatch when receiving a incoming call from your iPhone.

PS,I know absolutely nothing and this is a total guess.

That is actually a very good guess. Something small that people wouldn't notice and then the announcement happens and you're like"oh yeah. That makes sense"

We will see how right you are soon enough.

LOL, you are funny. Stubborn but funny. Any search of the medical literature for retrospective population studies will show the benefits of exercise on preventing disease.

It's been a nice little flame war but you need to stop writing things that will only embarrass you later. Cheers.

While there are immense benefits, you still won't lose much weight if you eat whatever you want, regardless of exercise. The other poster was speaking of weight alone it seems. You're both correct.

oh i hope Tim Cook keeps his mouth shut as much as possible and lets someone else do the presentation again. he is the worst and slowest public speaker i have ever heard.

"we haaaaaave some increeeeeedibleeeee ... pause ... things to show uuuuuuuuu ... pause ... tonight"

We need those guys that do the auctions to do the keynote. Thing would be over and revealed in about a minute

Clearly new socks from apple. They are just like regular socks, except they have a built-in pulse monitor that bluetooth connects to your phone and they change color depending on what time it is.

"It's time."

Or maybe... "Half past six" lol.

Lol!

"Now's the time"
"The time is now" :)

Exactly!! I could totally see a round icon on the iWatch.

A smart watch is so 2013... I thought we had established that it's not necessary and doesn't provide much... I'm not going to lie I would love to see Apple show me that I'm wrong.

Nutrition is 80%... I think that number is exaggerated lets face it you aren't going to get health or be physically fit without exercise no matter how healthy you eat. People are looking for an easier answer than actually putting in the work. In reality its probably more likely that nutrition is 60% of being physically fit vs the 80% that people are claiming.

I have naturally big muscles but thats from working out and diet equally.
Um no. I was referring to health in general not being physically fit. However, nutrition is at least 80% of it all. You will gain very little muscle without adequate nutrition, namely protein. Muscle doesn't form without amino acids, and unless you are supplying your body with enough protein, you will not gain much muscle, it's as simple as that.

You die if you don't meet certain nutritional requirements, and you die if you never exercise. You die either way, does it matter if one will kill you 40% quicker?

The announce could still be coming in October. But if you're doubting the existence of an iWatch then you're not really in touch with reality considering how prolific it is in the rumor mill-- no Apple device ever reaches such a fever pitch of rumors and fails to materialize.
Umm, Apple's TV?

Lol I only got that idea because it's what Samsung did with their phone and Smartwatch, they bundled together and cut price by about $50. Be good if Apple did the same.

Apple will do something similar. If you want to buy an iPhone and watch together... Apple will let you.

60 feet is H U G E !

Not on a centipede.

Calling it right now.. It'll be called the "iBand". Way catchier sounding, and way less of a mouthful.

The iBand. Your wrist, improved.

Puberty is what improved my wrist.

Yet another device for the self-absorbed and the live socially disconnected to perpetually stare at.

Are you talking about the iWatch or the time spent on forums?

The real question is after sept 9th will there be more threads complaining, or praising apple?

Yes. Definitely. ;)

Sorry but you're just unaware of the scientific facts. Moreover, scientific literature doesn't equate to facts. Turns out there can be all the scientific research in the world, and if none of it is done with extremely good control and the research is inherently flawed then the outcome won't be accurate.

For example, it's been thought that saturated fats are bad for you, but the fact is, the research that said so was all flawed science, and that means you were fed false information. The fact is humans don't know what the best human diet is, because it's incredibly hard to even design a study that would unequivocally show what is absolutely optimal, let alone be done accurately enough to show it.

There have been studies that show exercise does very little for weight loss, and exercise simply doesn't magically cure or prevent a lot of diseases.

You could literally not exercise at all, but if you ate properly you'd be perfectly healthy. The inverse is not true.

You don't die if you never exercise. Every human being uses their muscles every single day of their lives. You do not need more than normal activity to sustain life. Exercise has many benefits, life isn't one of them. Granted it could prolong life some, but it's not necessary for someone to go for a run.

How Macrumors generate rumours:

1/ Grab 20 "Post It" notes, write vague and generic "rumours" on them.

2/ Grab 12 more, and write a month name on each one.

3/ Attach to cork board, pick up two darts and throw one dart for the "rumour", and another for the date.

4/ Transcribe results to website.

Anyone can make up random "news stories".

Yeah like the keynote to an Apple event has never been accurately revealed before it was announced. Oh wait, it happens literally every single time.

And Steve is dead. Has been for a while. How he did things is moot.

Oh, he is? Didn't know that. :|

It wasn't just Steve who did tentpoles, he pioneered it. Phil Schiller, Scott Fortsall and now Craig Federighi does too. So uncertainty/moot? It's not.
