Apple TV 4 Orders Begin Shipping for October 30 Delivery

I'd imagine the tracker hasn't updated yet, I'd say by now its on the van. They normally leave the depot around 7am

Yeah and it used to say you were delivery slot number __. It doesn't say that either.
Sometimes it does and other times it doesn't. Never did it when tracking on a computer browser but on my iPhone on the other hand it always did.
I had hope but now I am not so sure. It still shows Preparing. No ship email, and my fedex account shows that I had 2 ship labels created with expected delivery of 10/30 from Apple, but both state canceled with this message "shipment canceled by sender". I paid for the overnight delivery also so that looks like it may have been a wasted 19.00.....

My 64GB version still shows Preparing, ordered 90 minutes after they went live. The 32GB version ordered 30 minutes later shows it in the UPS distribution center that is too far away to deliver to me today. It shows Monday.
I don't get how this is so mixed up for everyone. Those early in the process not getting, but customers later in the list getting it. (Shipping being equal) Then you seem to have customers who paid the upgrade now showing Monday as well.
The only shot I have at staying sane is that I'm in a rural location. The one in the system shows it moving from Nashville, TN to Lexington, KY. So if I lived in a fairly populated place, it would be sitting in a regional center that ships to it's local customers. My sins are that it now has to hit one more rural center and then get loaded on a delivery truck. And those trucks typically start here each morning about 7:15AM with their deliveries.

Mine is being delivered Monday so I just ordered one to pickup in the store this morning. If I really like like it I will keep both if not I will return one next week.
I got the confirmation email for my order BEFORE 7AM PDT on Monday (ordered just after 6AM) and now my order has been sitting in "Preparing for Shipping" for three days straight and still no update emails or word from Apple.
I'm wondering whether Apple is actually handling the fulfillment for these orders. It's possible they are being done through a group of third-party contractors and depending upon which company is handling your order you might get good service or bad. Just a theory, because I can't believe that if everything was being handled by Apple that the fulfillment notifications and deliveries would be so fragmented.
I also live in a major metro area where I often get items from Amazon within 36 hours after my order with standard 2-day shipping and after years of deliveries through Amazon I've NEVER seen anything close to the poor status updates like I've gotten on my Apple TV. I really wasn't planning on getting my shipment before this weekend, but now I'm wondering whether they've even processed my order after a full four days of waiting.

Still fore paring for shipment! I ordered the 64GB at around 7:30 AM pacific time and fast shipping. It seems like people near LA haven't changed to shipped yet like me.
Also ordered on Monday AM. Still "Preparing for shipment" and no charge has hit my card yet.

Hope you get yours soon! But I am lucky enough and have a few Apple stores within 20 miles so I might just go there today or tomorrow and buy one then just return the other one. But I did buy part of my Apple TV with a gift card, so will they be able to add money back on it?
You know, this is odd too. As SomeGuy2112 just said, my credit card still hasn't been charged and when I request an invoice for the Apple TV on my Apple account it says it can't provide an invoice because the item hasn't been billed yet. However, the order shows up under my Apple account and I used the same credit card that pays the monthly fees for my other Apple services (HBO and my iTunes purchases).
FWIW, local Best Buy didn't get any in and has no idea when to expect them.
Other interesting thing is that when I placed my order early Monday, the free shipping was the only option (I'm 99.9% sure I wasn't offered the one day shipping as I'd have gladly paid the cost). All I saw was the 3-5 day window, and the free 2-day shipping option.
