Apple TV 4 Orders Begin Shipping for October 30 Delivery

Update: 32GB ordered on Monday with free standard shipping. Now have UPS tracking showing delivery for tomorrow. Certainly not rubbing it in to people who paid the $17 but man I'd be pissed if I shelled that out and found out I didn't have to.

BUT: I'm signed up for FedEx text messages, and at 9:30 am today, I got a text saying shipment xxxx was picked up, scheduled for delivery 11/3 (which is in the range of delivery dates, of course).

And the interesting thing is the last time I had a shipment like this (standard shipment Apple Watch band), it came two days earlier than the 'scheduled to be delivered on' date. Not like UPS and DHL where it's slowed down to be sure not to get there earlier, lol.

So, perhaps they will still be here tomorrow? Monday at the latest? (The other weird thing is that when I try to track the number on the FedEx site, it just spins.)

Arg... ETA never mind, lol. Tracking just came up and it's window blinds from blinds.com!

So, why are so many orders that were in first thing Monday not moving? Can we return mail ordered units to a store if we purchase other units in an Apple Store?

Yes you can return it for full refund if you don't open it. They will require a document with photo for the return

You actually return it even if you open it. There return policy used to be much stricter than it is now, especially for custom built macs. I returned my MacBook Pro after using it for a day and deciding that I wanted more flash storage....no problem. They even pay for return shipping

So I wouldn't worry about keeping it in pristine unopened condition. Even though most of us who end up not receiving our units are probably just planning on buying one at the store and returning the other one without opening it.

I ordered 2 units right when the site came up and just got my shipping info an hour ago saying "delivery on Nov. 2nd" and tracking numbers aren't even in the UPS system as of now so I doubt I'm getting them tomorrow. Still debating if I want to just go into an Apple Store or Best Buy and buy them tomorrow or just wait it out.

One another note, Apple really needs to get their crap together with their recent product releases. The Apple Watch launch was a disaster and this launch has disappointed the people who were likely the most loyal Apple customers that wanted to get their Apple TV's right away. So much for Angela Ahrendts making the Apple Store experience better....lately it seems more confusing and less straight forward. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks the blended online Apple store is harder to navigate.

Another CA here as well. I bought the 64GB version around 1pm PST on Monday and even paid $17 for next day shipping. Still stuck in PFS...
 
People with standard shipping are receiving their Apple TVs today (Friday). Meanwhile, I paid for expedited shipping and mine has a scheduled delivery on Monday. Thanks Apple.

Surely if you pay the extra it's for pre-12 delivery, not que jumping on orders........
 
I ordered two the moment they went on sale. I'm getting one tomorrow and one Monday. In hindsight, I certainly would just choose to walk in the store and pick them up. This is a very screwy launch.
 
Bizarrely, notification from Apple Order Status says delivery on Monday but I checked DPD UK with the tracking number provided and see its delivering today :) anyway I will wait for some more time! :)

Nice one :) Mine has just left the Leeds depot for delivery. Best thing with DPD you can see where you are in the que and and approximate time.
 
Anyone else order in the first half hour and still not ship yet?

I'm in Philly, and I think I might just go pick one up at the store down the street in a few hours, which may be before it ships still ...

What time did you guys order your Apple TV's on Monday?

Mine is still Preparing for Dispatch!
 
Mines just been delivered uk happy Apple TV customer Apple slave!!


Don't think the uk had a one day delivery option

It will be on the DPD tracking page. Mine is Your Apple order will be delivered today by Wojiech, your DPD driver, between 14:30 and 15:30

I have a few stuff from Apple via DPD, an iPhone 6s a few weeks back and you could see where the driver was on a map and how many deliveries were before you. Doesn't seems to be doing it this time.

Thanks, I did the same and that DPD tracking page shows just 'Your parcel has arrived at our Irlam depot ready for delivery' and then below estimated delivery today. No time slots/driver name yet! May be this is not updated yet. I am at work, just planning when can I go home and it will be good to see time-slot!

No on the van yet then. It will pop up at some point don't worry :)
