One of the best shows on any channel. Apple tv+ is really releasing a lot of good stuff nowadays. Pachinko and the spy series Slow Horses were also recently released. Tehran is about to return, etc.
I keep netflix mainly for all the kid cartoons without ads. In my own limited time, i much more often watch an apple series than a netflix series. They are competing more with hbo, quality-wise.

This show is at a weird crossroads with its finale: if they reveal a bunch of secrets they have been alluding to, they risk losing audience intrigue; if they reveal too little, they risk losing audience attention. Strange it got picked up before the release of the finale…
The numbers must be that good!

I stopped 3 episodes in. Couldn't get into it. Does it pick up the pace at all?
Pace? No. Its an extremely dense and atmospheric story that merits rewatching (sometimes several times, or sometimes over the same scene a few times) but its not a fast paced show at all, nor would it work if it was.

But do the layers get peeled back and does the story go from allegory for corporate ownership of our lives to a mind-bendingly WTF WTH is going on intrigue? Yes.

its intrguing but...

its gotten really repetitive with corporate parties, and hallway shuffles and stuff...

is it ever going to get more intriguing or just remain in a while loop?

Ill keep watching anyways

Also- Is Adam Scott looking haggard these days or did they make him appear that way for this role?

Glad to hear this… although I thought season 2 was confirmed a while back? Either way it’s been such a great show, the characters are amazing.

I love this show!!. Glad they are renewing it!!.
Servant, Schmigadoon and maybe Ted Lasso a bit are the only shows that I enjoy in Apple TV.
Most others Apple TV shows and movies have very high production values, but the plots or the direction and specially the characters reactions to the story seem very forced or plain silly. Like 90s tv on steroids.
Apple, please hire good directors, don’t rush the shows or make them “easy in the viewers”, be a little more HBO-like when it comes to direction of the shows and stories.
Oh, and please invest a looooot more in the app performance. Copy all Netflix features, like the way to fast forward, no buffering, easier way to find all episodes of a show I am seeing, not just the last one, and a long etcetera!.
Price increase=bye. Not enough content to justify it.

Have a look at some of the other recent shows like Slow Horses and Pachinko. Could have been HBO at their best. And Tehran returns soon - worth watching season 1. Or for a gentle comedy: Trying.

Haha, you got much farther than me. I couldn’t get past the first episode, but then again, I have very little patience for TV shows.

Seeing some of the praise here, maybe I’ll give it another shot… but then again, a lot of folks here liked Ted Lasso so I forced myself to watch the entire first season and didn’t laugh once. It’s supposed to be a comedy right?

These are my thoughts too. I actually thought this was a series that wraps in just one season (and in some ways I hoped that was the case). I don't want this to go the way of Servant where it is just a constant waiting game for the payoff. I gave up on that show because nothing was ever explained and it just got more silly.

Guess I will have to start Severance now! Oh and the first two episodes of Slow Horses is very good as well. Wished Apple dropped more than one episode a week though.
