This coming Friday is the finale.Uhhh.. the finale has already aired. Or am I missing something?
The numbers must be that good! This show is at a weird crossroads with its finale: if they reveal a bunch of secrets they have been alluding to, they risk losing audience intrigue; if they reveal too little, they risk losing audience attention. Strange it got picked up before the release of the finale…
Pace? No. Its an extremely dense and atmospheric story that merits rewatching (sometimes several times, or sometimes over the same scene a few times) but its not a fast paced show at all, nor would it work if it was.I stopped 3 episodes in. Couldn't get into it. Does it pick up the pace at all?
If you weren’t into it by episode three, it’s probably just not for you. Everyone doesn’t like every show of course. Variety FTW!!I stopped 3 episodes in. Couldn't get into it. Does it pick up the pace at all?
it reminds me of the best parts of LOSTIt's riveting in a way I can't describe. I find myself watching a show that is at times very slow moving. Yet there is enough "stuff" happening that I can't look away.
He looks fine IRL IMO. He was on Kimmel a few weeks ago and looked like himself. His outie character on the show is a severely depressed alcoholic. Fits the bill.Also- Is Adam Scott looking haggard these days or did they make him appear that way for this role?
Yes, a bit of Lost there, when it was still good. Also a similar vibe as some early Haruki Murakami novels. Wonderful, really.it reminds me of the best parts of LOST
very high production values, but the plots or the direction and specially the characters reactions to the story seem very forced or plain silly. Like 90s tv on steroids.
Apple, please hire good directors, don’t rush the shows or make them “easy in the viewers”, be a little more HBO-like when it comes to direction of the shows and stories.
Apple TV+ is better than Netflix at the momentSurprise, another great show on Apple TV. My 5 dollars a month is definitely rewarded. I wish I could say that about the 20+ from Netflix.
Haha, you got much farther than me. I couldn’t get past the first episode, but then again, I have very little patience for TV shows.I stopped 3 episodes in. Couldn't get into it. Does it pick up the pace at all?
These are my thoughts too. I actually thought this was a series that wraps in just one season (and in some ways I hoped that was the case). I don't want this to go the way of Servant where it is just a constant waiting game for the payoff. I gave up on that show because nothing was ever explained and it just got more silly. This show is at a weird crossroads with its finale: if they reveal a bunch of secrets they have been alluding to, they risk losing audience intrigue; if they reveal too little, they risk losing audience attention.
