I started this show only yesterday and already at episode 5. I’m hooked and can’t wait to see the finale. Great news to have a S2
I started it thinking it looked interesting, I'll give it a chance. Ep 1 was enough to get me to ep 2... and then every ep after got more and more interesting. They really built up the world really well, and then cranked it up insanely for the waffle party.

Based on what most here are saying I’ll give it a chance. For some reason Apple TV isn’t my goto steaming service I keep forgetting to look there

These are my thoughts too. I actually thought this was a series that wraps in just one season (and in some ways I hoped that was the case). I don't want this to go the way of Servant where it is just a constant waiting game for the payoff. I gave up on that show because nothing was ever explained and it just got more silly.
Servant gets better. Season 3 is more enjoyable.

Huh? I thought this initially had a 2 season order anyway.

I am watching it but I don’t get anything yet I am intrigued I mostly just watch it for the „aha duh!“ moment, which as of now, still has to happen ?
Ever hear of a period or a comma or a punctuation mark of any kind because punctuation marks really make sentence make more sense even if you don't understand the sentence or the sense it's trying to make and sometimes that is the best sense to make is when you can actually infer what the author is trying to say...

I like the general premise, but I wish the show had a more intelligent and realistic take on it rather than the surrealistic one it has. It’s just totally unbelievable that the whole setup could work the way it is presented, in the real world. I also fear that it will teeter out in a second season, there’s just not that much substance thus far, they are already stretching out the mystery.

its intrguing but...

its gotten really repetitive with corporate parties, and hallway shuffles and stuff...

is it ever going to get more intriguing or just remain in a while loop?

Ill keep watching anyways

Also- Is Adam Scott looking haggard these days or did they make him appear that way for this role?
Yes. The repetitions build in tension each iteration, then eventually break. The repetitions are intentional, to establish how structured and artificial their little lives are.

He's 49. He wasn't 49 before. This "aging" thing is real.

Haha, you got much farther than me. I couldn’t get past the first episode, but then again, I have very little patience for TV shows.

Seeing some of the praise here, maybe I’ll give it another shot… but then again, a lot of folks here liked Ted Lasso so I forced myself to watch the entire first season and didn’t laugh once. It’s supposed to be a comedy right?
For real. My coworker told me Ted Lasso was in her top 10 shows ever and I HAD to watch it. I watched both seasons and chuckled maybe 4 times. Felt almost nothing. And Lasso's awe shucks persona got old quick. 5/10

I agree and I canceled Netflix couple days ago.
Yeah, I've been having a hard time getting excited about Netflix, too... The problem is, they have some awesome Scandi stuff that I'm waiting on for new seasons. And the releases are staggered (deliberately, I'm sure), so it's impossible to pick a "best time" to jump ship!

I thought this too. But then I remembered that the woman with the baby had been severed. In other words, it's not just about the workers. It's about some individuals outside of Lumon creating a kind of Stepford Wives scenario. Tired of your wife? She doesn't want a baby? Just turn her off and use her innie, who's blissfully unaware of anything.

And they still have yet to cover the mystery of what the innies do inside of Lumen all day, which I don't think they'll get around to until well into the second season. It's pretty clear that everything the innies see is literally a metaphor to hide the full horror of what's happening. That's why Helly was so taken aback initially doing her work. She sees numbers and letters, but what she's actually seeing on that screen is likely to be horrific.
You just made me wonder if MDR has anything to do with the actual severance process. Maybe they're manipulating or erasing memories to maintain the stability of the severed people.

The free Severance ebook available through the Books app has a few more clues.

It seems to be more about literal corporate warfare.
