This show is one of the best things that Apple came up with after Steve Jobs passed away. Everything from acting, plot, perfectly written characters and production is top notch in this show. Bud sadly it’s the only thing that I like on Apple TV+.

A very good show interspersed with flashes of greatness but its faults hold it back from being exceptional. It's entertaining enough but won't be something I will rewatch two decades later. B-list may be a harsh critique but this falls far short of my top ten greatest hits.

In this alternate reality do they retain their common sense and still have Pluto as the 9th planet? Or are they also delusional like certain scientists in this reality?
I recommend reading the book How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming.

S1 and S2 were awesome, S3 started nice but it’s more about diversity and LGBT drama then a space race. Not fun anymore don’t need to be educated by Hollywood as it seems the trend these days.

One of my favourite shows on TV at the moment. It's so good. Season 3 is my favourite so far, it touches on so many issues of the time period, and does it really well.

Not really, it's just showing us what happened back in that time period and how this alternate timeline and president would handle it. Plus it was a couple of episodes, not the entire season.

The episode this week was TOTAL CRAP. WORST of the series. The suspension of disbelieve was IMPOSSIBLE. How many types of drugs were the writers on when they broke this episode? Ugh.
This whole season has been ridiculous to me. I know there is some level of suspension of disbelief as you state, but they are doing things that aren't even plausible given the time in history (I know I know, alternate timeline). They go into space now like it's just jumping into a car and that's nowhere near the worst of it. Other examples would be spoilers so I won't get detailed, but come on, the pirate ship? Massive spacecraft crashing into each other, then the next scene one just jets off like nothing happened, no compromised structure?
They're losing me fast and I used to spread the word about this show.

I don’t want to watch a serie to see issues of the current time or get bothered by it. It is counterproductive anyways as more more more only gets irritating for most people.

Glad it's been renewed, it's a great show.

I just wish they wouldn't wait so long to renew it. Give us a 2-3 season commitment, or work out where the writers want it to end, and see how many seasons they think they need. It's clearly a successful show even with Apples crap advertising of it.

Agree on part of this. The whole drugs thing seems pretty pointless and just a distraction.

In terms of technology its based off of what NASA's plans were after Apollo (they were planning human landings on Mars in the 1980s but had no money to do it). Because the space race never ended in this timeline Nasa's got a massive budget. Everything they're doing in the season was the future plans of NASA if they'd had the funding so it's not too unplausible technology wise.

The constant "and then something went wrong" stuff is obviously very much not something you'd see with NASA given how cautious they are as an organisation.

He's F*cked up. Hope they kill him off, he irritates me.
I am looking forward to Season 4 as long as Danny is dead.
He might do it himself, not easy for that guy, lot of things not right with him. Obsessed guy.

Except that, I love the serie. Interesting characters, and amazing story.
Next, give me a ticket to Mars. Life on Mars, nice plot. But don't bring Elon there.

I have yet to watch season 3, however, I do have some inside information on season 4. They mostly go back to operations on the moon. When they are excavating for a new city on the moon, they find a large black monolith. The monolith when uncovered sends out an RF signal to an object in orbit of Jupiter. There is a joint US, Russian mission to that location, with an AI controlling most of the ships functions. The AI as given conflicting orders by the US and Russian Space command. This results in the AI killing off all of the crew but one member, Dave Bowman. Dave takes a pod out to the larger monolith...

I remember seeing somewhere where the writers were saying the entire story arc required 8 seasons. So this is probably a good sign they will get to complete their vision.

I am a fan, I do find it tedious and predictable at times, BUT, I am committed now, so let us see this one out!

I enjoyed See, The Foundation... I wonder if this one is also worth a watch.
Here's an idea to consider. You have Apple TV+. You've read many positive reviews of this series. Why not just watch an episode and see if you like it. No more wondering. If you don't like it, all you've lost is a few minutes of your life.

Not super surprised it's a good show given that it's a Ron Moore product

He's been great all the way back to his start on TNG

This renewal is great news. I can point out stuff that bothers me from time to time, but the acting and stellar writing outweighs my nits by far. I am fully invested in the characters and there have been scenes in the first three seasons that have rivaled anything I have ever seen on TV in sheer rawness, emotional depth and honesty.
