I find i like every character on the show. Contrast with The Morning show, where I only like one of the characters in the entire ensemble.
TMS characters are by and large not meant to be likable.

I think only the weatherman is a genuinely likable character. Though I personally love Chip and Duplass' character too.

It’s the best TV I’ve watched in ages. Somehow able to mix laughter with genuine attachment to the characters. Funny, genuinely engaging and characters who whilst flawed, really make you want to root for them.
Just watched the first episode. Couldn't agree more.

It’s a good show and I think a 3 season run is a good stopping point. A lot of shows run way too *walkingdead* long and flame out towards the end *gameofthrones*. It’s good to not overextend *houseofcards* and know when to quit before the writers run out of ideas *theoffice*.

I'm fine with this. Let the writers decide when to end the show and stick to the plan. I get tired of shows (The Flash, Doctor Who) that keep going on and on. This news makes me excited for the last two seasons and what they come up with. Also, as a subscriber of Apple TV, it's good to know how many years I can resubscribe and when I can take a break from it.

If true, I’m glad they’re going to end at 3 seasons. Sometimes good shows need to end, before they overstay their welcome and go from good to bad. I’m a huge fan of the show - starting watching it when my wife didn’t want to, but after seeing a good chunk of the first season, I knew she would love it, and I was right. She was hooked after 2 episodes.

Apple just needs to keep developing new offerings, so that they don’t get stale with the first round of shows.
I watched it and loved it, tried to convince my wife and she refused. We finally ran out of shows to watch, so I convinced her to watch it and I'd rewatch, and now she loves it. Just as good the second time.

How is this only a 3 season show? Stick with football and move to germany, france, italy etc. Not very internationalist in the outlook is it, would've expected more of apple.
It would be pretty realistic for Ted Lasso if he somehow won the Premiere League, got hired to coach like Napoli or something, and have one disastrous season, and go on from there... But I'm fine with three seasons I think.

It always did seem like a solid three-season arc to be told.
*SPOILERS*
First season ends how it ended, second season has them winning a bunch of games, which wouldn't have been realistic had they not been relegated, and final season has them either winning the Premiere League, or more realistically, just making the top four and getting in the the Champions League.

Ted Lasso is the best show on TV right now and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.

I much prefer a great show to end when the story has been told then to be kept on life support for a decade while the quality of the content drops significantly until there are hardly any fans left.
While I don’t agree it’s the best thing on tv right now (although I did enjoy it) I completely agree on your other points.

Successful shows often drag on way too long, occasionally with good endings but flabby middles (it’s all your favourite cast members...but in Jamaica! Doing things that are completely out of character, but hey, gotta churn ‘em out!) and great shows get cancelled with no satisfying resolution. It’s rare the right balance is struck.

Limiting the arc is a good move and makes the right balance more achievable.

(Westworld should have been killed after that great first season, oh my)

Ah, if only this wisdom had been around in my youth. My life would have been spared the existence of “Cousin Oliver” (no disrespect to Robbie Rist, whose career miraculously survived that indignity), Joannie and Chachi—a bona fide worse love story than “Twilight”, and the sight of Fonzie literally jumping the shark.
We also wouldn't have had to watch Scrappy Doo. And in the comics we wouldn't have had to tolerate Batmite. Ugh, sometimes I wonder how humans are even able to clothe themselves!

When the show was released, I thought it was going to be another one of those cringe worthy series where the coach was incompetent and kind of unlikeable. Instead, it has been a breath of fresh air to see a show based around an imperfect person who tries his best and encourages others to be their best. Glad we are getting one more season.

Winning the game is not really Ted Lasso philosophy is it? It is about enhancing people and team development. If they win the league in season 3, I will be somewhat disappointed because then this warm show is all amount winning and not the people. Writers, please keep the eyes on the ball and make a better ending than just winning a glittery cup.

I'm still upset about the intoduction of The Great Gazoo on the final season of "The Flintstones." 👽
