It just gets better and better the more information and knowledge about the characters you have. Some things that used to feel cringe on the very first episode suddenly feel real when they stop with the attitude for a moment or explain their reasons or show another side.I gave up after 3 episodes. Cringeworthy and maudlin. Does it improve? I just couldn't get past the heaps of exposition.
Yeah, because 10 minutes of ANY show is 100% a summation of a show totaling many hours in length. The show starts once the obligatory American fish out of water stuff ends. Which is about 30 minutes in.I watched the first episode for 10 minutes and quit. Ignorant American moves to England and continues to be ignorant. Lazy humor.
Wait - the next season is season 2. We are also getting Season 3. /confused.It just gets better and better the more information and knowledge about the characters you have. That’s a complex way of saying “it grows on you”. But I totally get what you mean, I don’t remember when I hooked in, but 3 episodes would have been enough I think?
On a related thread note: sad to know that the next season to watch will be the last season ever... damn.
Yes, my bad!Wait - the next season is season 2. We are also getting Season 3. /confused.
I would love it to go on too, but I’ve seen too many series (US “The Office”) overstay their welcome, so I respect the decision, both artistically and ethically as Sudeikis considers his (IRL) family.Massive bummer. All good things must come to an end, I suppose. I dearly hope that Sudeikis will reevaluate this decision after S3, once Ted Lasso becomes even more well known and inevitably becomes a cultural touchstone/monolith.
I went a few more episdoes in. I think I gave it a fair shake but for my tastes I find it too cringeworthy and cartoony because I'd align it more with your averge American network TV fare. Overall I'm just so disappointed with Apple's TV offerings. Except maybe for the Fraggle Rock shorts. It just gets better and better the more information and knowledge about the characters you have. EDIT: got corrected later on, I remembered this as having been already two seasons. There’s only one aired. And yes it’s good, my memories of the content and events of it easily confuse it as two seasons wide.
