Now Apple needs to hurry up and update their remote app :(

Why. What's wrong with it? Other than being slow to refresh the covers in a large audiobook library, it seems to work okay for me.

Nothing. But some just have to say something, even if it's absolutely and completely meaningless. More and more of this going around making it very hard to extract useful information amidst the crapola.

YES! i have to restart my Apple TV every hour to get the audio/video to sync back up

My sync is perfect. Perhaps it's your amplifier.

Podcasts ideo, audio still continues when interrupting.

Ther is no reason for this at all. I can understand why yiu want to leave music on and continue browsing ATV, and audio only podcasts, but not video podcasts.

I can"t beleive Apple still hasan't fxed this yet... The issue has been ariund since the first 6.0 update.

More likely the broadband connection.

You will never see Amazon Prime on the ATV

They said the same thing about HBO GO. With Netflix there too, this argument sounds weaker and weaker. And the fact of the matter is, I have Amazon Prime on my iPad, and iPhone, and can AirPlay it to my AppleTV now.

Anyone else unable to update?
I just get an update failed message after a few seconds...
Even hard reset the box.
(latest ATV)

That's a bummer. Mine updated just fine. Started the update while I watched a TV show. When the show was finished, I checked bac and it was complete/rebooted. ATV3.

All better now

Turns out I downloaded the file for the upgrade, but it couldn't install for some reason. I pulled the power cord, put it back in, and it booted into... something. I had a different password for iCloud because I just changed my setup. I changed that, and then two minutes later, it's asking me to install. Ten minutes later, it was finished. All better.

Netflix's Rrecently Watched" section is gone after the 6.0.1 (7.0.3) update.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before, but after the update, the Netflix app no longer includes a "recently watched" section to navigate content easily.

I just watched a full TV episode to see if it would reappear with a new log after the update, but it didn't.
______________
Nevermind.
It reappeared the next day with all my old viewing history intact again.

I've never seen that list disappear before. Really odd!

I think that this is more a random Netflix bug that appears from time to time, and unrelated to the update. It's fine on our Netflix, but it has happened from time to time before.

The only difference I can see so far is that Parental Control is now called Restrictions, and it's form here that you can hide/show apps to tidy up your interface

Yup. On the home screen, I'd like some kind of separator between the icons I want to see and those that I don't want to see. Or better yet, some way to entirely remove icons that I don't want to see. (And I'm a little tired of the faux "shiny button" look, now that I'm used to iOS 7.)

Also, I can't seem to figure out how to remove movies from my wish list after I've bought them. You'd think they would be automatically removed.

In regards to "Hiding" the Icons on your Apple TV's Home screen that you don't want to see, It's very VERY easy. You can "Hide" them by going to: Settings > General > Restrictions. Scroll down the list to the list of icons click the Center/Select button on your Apple Remote to either "Hide" or "Show" the icons of your choice. Basically this function is for parents to make App restrictions for kids, but it works great for hiding the icons on the home screen you'd rather not see and cleans it up nicely! Hope that helps!

New apple remote app been spotted

When will Apple come up with a new damn interface? I hated the Front Row interface when Front Row was still an app.

boringggggg!

As we faithfuly wait for something new, they keep disappointing! First the iphone, then the ipad and now this. Tim sucks at distorting my reality and making my want. Either create some new or WOW us with an upgrade. The ATV needs an overhaul not a point upgrade.

How about letting me see the aTV icons/menus on my phone instead of 4 arrows for up down left and right. The iPhone could be the perfect smart remote if Apple just stopped treating it like a dumb trackpad.

Are people that have jailbroken ATV2's updating their software? I am still running an untethered jailbreak (don't know the version number) I guess I would be better off selling the jailbroken ATV on ebay and getting a new ATV3 than updating my ATV2 to the non-jailbreakable software update.
