What’s the point?

In the US, 80% of the people don’t know about soccer, instead they know football much better. Then, among the rest 20%, 99% of them don’t care about soccer.
Outside of the US, 99% of them don’t understand the name “soccer”, instead they know it as “football”. Then, among the rest 1%, 99% of them don’t care the teams inside the US at all.

US only or available worldwide?
Would there be much demand for U.S/Canadian only teams in other countries, besides maybe North America? I honestly don't know, and I've lost my one family member who was an avid Seattle Sounders fan.

You seem to ignore that football (a.k.a. soccer) is by far the most popular sport all over the world.
I do hope that the feed will be available to all non-US viewers too.
I mean no disrespect to your opinion, though. It is all just a matter of taste and were you grow up.
:)

The number of non US viewers is going to be pretty small.

The most important thing for all the Americas Continent would be unifying Conmebol (South American football association) and Concacaf (North American football association):

1) It would create a spectacular international club competition, to rival the UEFA Champions League. It would generate a lot of investment and business for a supercharged Americas Libertadores Cup: Teams from Brazilian league, Argentinian League, Mexican League, MLS (USA) League, etc.

2) Unifying Copa America and Gold Cup in a Supercharged Copa America. A spectacular international national teams competition, similar to the 2016 Copa America, but with more teams.

3) If we don’t do this now, UEFA (European football association) will be a monopoly.

4) There would be more Americas teams in the World Cup, And the World Cup qualification would be super fun
You don't want to do this... the US already have a hard time qualifying for the WC in their sub-par CONCACAF competition!

So it’s free?
Great point. I know people who, excitedly, will tell me "we're getting a...(something)"; as if we're having a blessing bestowed upon us. Examples:

"We're getting an Applebees!"
"We're getting a Credit Union!"
"We're getting a new road!"

No, somebody has cut down all the trees and filled in the lake or pond so that they can build that Applebees or credit union because they think you and your neighbors will buy those goods and services. Applebees might "give" you a free desert on your birthday and the credit union might wish you a happy birthday if you still go into credit unions and share your personal information with your teller (which you maybe should not do). And your local, state, or federal government is building that road because it was in the plan since 1965 and now it's that construction plan's turn to get funding. Or be bought on credit, that's probably more likely.

AppleTV may have the brand of a different ranch on your hiney, but it's not so much because they have a service to sell. Well, they do, but it is in fact YOU who they are buying and selling. Mooo! ;)

This is a pretty funny rebuttal.
"Ya, all these other sports have boring moments, but this one is the boringest because they run too much."
They run in marathons the entire time. I wouldn't exactly call them action packed and you wouldn't catch me watching one. Same with a soccer match. Seriously, just make the pitch smaller and add a shot clock to increase the actual action an maybe it will be exciting enough for me to sit with a beer and watch it. Until then I'd rather watch almost anything else. But hey, some people like that kind of thing so for them, enjoy. I'll be enjoying something else.

There's been rumblings of Apple closing in on NFL Sunday Ticket... now THAT would be a major landmark for Apple TV and would instantly establish it as a serious streaming contender in the United States. Won't be cheap, but AFAIK Apple is not hurting for loose change.

Yeah... "action"... Just a bunch of guys kicking a ball back and forth. Not what I consider exciting. Maybe if they added a shot clock to the game so at least there is something to watch. With baseball every pitch is a chance to score or advance a runner. Sure there are moments in-between the action in baseball, but that's what makes it more exciting to watch than soccer, because of the contrast. The constant running back and forth is just so much of the same thing the whole game... yawn...
You haven’t seen a game before have you?
