I admit, it's pretty darn beautiful. 44mm size would be perfect. The new animations on the watch face...personally I think thats awesome. I DO wish a Stainless Steel was made, but oh well. However, it will have to wait.

I can't drop $500 AND another ---well who knows as of right now (2:04pm) the price of the Xs Max, assuming $899, 999?

I'm VERY tempted to pick this up to upgrade from my Series 2. I'm in love with those new Watch faces. Apple Watch has been so great so far.

Current rumor is $1099. Guess we'll find out in 5, 10 minutes?

The heart monitoring function is actually rather impressive. Not enough for me to upgrade from a s3 stainless, but they are absolutely welcomed features. The bigger screen in the same footprint is also an ice improvement.

was the increase really necessary tho? LTE is going from $429 to $499 for the 42mm
That $499 LTE price was for the 40mm, 44mm will be even more ($529?)... this increase is nuts I was excited about the new watch but come on...

So the fall detection does what?

Tell you later that you fell?
It basically means that you no longer have to actually SAY "HELP, I've fallen and I can't get up".

That post is lost on anyone younger than about 35.

It will most likely register the fall, and call or text out to a list of people in your contacts.. or call 911.

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the fall detection feature. If I'm doing an active sport like snowboarding and I happen to fall, will I have to tap my watch every time? I don't want my watch calling my emergency contact for every fall if I happen to not get back up within the allotted minute.

assuming you'd be tracking your snowboarding via the Activity app. i bet the FALL detection is disabled during activity.

Is an 8 complication face a bit loud (and ugly)? What if complications were just smarter in showing up? I kind of think too many complications on a face at the same time will just slow down the watch and eat up the battery...

My mother with heart problems had fainted and fallen. She was on the floor for hours before she got help. I got her a medic alert bracelet but she wouldn’t wear it. I would have definitely purchased this for her plus a iphone se.

Held off on Apple watch until it added more health related features. New ECG detection is nice. Will be buying. Learned my lesson before, never buy new Apple tech and wait a round or two for the kinks to get worked out and for the features they allegedly “save” for each next release.
