You really have to wonder. For people that cannot stop the nonsensical statements about copying Android....how do you know Android so well as to make such accusations?

Maybe because you use it every day?

Troll on, Android clowns.

People complaining that it isn't a completely new OS are crazy. What Android system completely gets away from their original concept? None, new things and design are just slowly added that make it appear different. Apple wouldn't completely redo everything from the ground up anyway. They have millions of users familiar with the current iOS. The easy thing to do is gradually change it and make it new. iOS 7 is a big step in a line of what I think will be 2-3 years of revamping the entire OS.

It is absolutely nauseating to see so many people troll this topic. They cannot let us, Apple fans, enjoy a new software/hardware release without their need to stomp all over it. I have never gone to an Android site to say anything bad about a device I don't own or wish to own.

Has the whole Internet devolved to the lowest level of conversation? Where is common civility? Why is it always mine is better than yours, just like in Kindergarten?

Nobody asks you to comment if you do not own an Apple device or never intend to buy one. Your negative comments reinforce my affinity to Apple. Go troll somewhere else where the sun doesn't shine.

What are you even talking about almost all the major criticism has been from Apple users.

I think it looks amazing. I love the transparency of some of the interface parts as well as the background and apps. At first the icons looked odd but over time I will get used to it and like it more and more :)

Is it a pre-requisite of being a Californian, to wear an awkward out-of-context flat cap or trilby hat, a lumberjack shirt and specs that do nothing except to draw attention to their frames? Hipster overload on the iOS 7 video!

sweet, scrolling wallpaper, folders with more icon, a settings quick screen, access to notifications from the lock screen.

Android will never be able to catch up with those features.

Point and Match to Apple, :)

Take that android fanboys!

The scrolling wallpaper is pretty sweet. The allowing more apps in a folder is nice, I think iOS used to limit it to 12 and Android limits it to 16. I have a settings quick screen on my Note II that I can see whenever I pull down my notification bar. My Android also allows me to access my notifications from the lock screen. All in all a strong iOS update, but I wouldn't call either side point and match yet.

Google will more than likely be updating Android to either 4.3 or 5.0 sometime in the next few months, so we will see what they have up their sleeve. Regardless of what mobile OS you use, we are getting better devices by the competition between iOS, Android and to some extent Windows Phone.

can't load developer.apple.com all day long. Can someone upload/share a download link to the ios7 ipsw for me?
thanks~

QFT.

The icons look like they're out of an iOS mockup on South Park... Those harsh gradients and garish Fisher-Price colors... is this really out of Cupertino and not Redmond?

I just don't like photos and gamecenter, they like have nothing to do with the app or its purpose. the Safari one looks odd which i think is from the white background around the blue but hopefully they'll still change somethings.

I wasn't complaining about iTunes Radio, more questioning why I need another radio app on my phone. If it has better features they I may use it. How about, I dunno, asking a question to weigh the pros and cons of something.
The point is its not another app that is in addition to you owned music library, it is a part of your music app in the OS. It has both and if you really like something you can buy it on the spot and listen to it whenever you want on any of your devices forever.

Just beautiful, awesome, cant wait until then. Love the new UI interface much cleaner, this will be the most adoptive iOS ever when release, most stuff I wanted is here, shared photos, control center, photos, multi-tasking, airdrop etc etc, come on beta:D

It's been impossible to get to the dev center to download the beta. At least for me.....frustrating.

Don't forget, Android ripped Apple off in the first place.

iOS 7 has ideas taken from a lot of different OS's. I will still take iOS over any Android crap any day.

The control center menu is the only thing in Android I have ever liked, glad to see them bring it in.

I agree and I think its time for Apple to bite even harder in the Apple and take a bite somewhere else as others did from them

I just LOVE it! My initial impression was being slightly underwhelmed, but it's so subtle and clever, I like it more every time I re-watch the iOS 7 video :)

I couldn't have said it better myself. As an ex-user of Android, I quickly found that while it "did" those things, the experience of doing it was usually either tedious or half baked. I'm not going to harp about Android, because frankly, I don't care.

iOS 7 is brilliant. I love the overall design of it. It doesn't look like Windows 8, or Android, or BB10. It looks completely new. As they were announcing it, I couldn't find one thing that I was upset or disappointed about. All of the features that I personally wanted (and some that I didn't know I wanted) were released. The only thing I could think to complain about would be choosing stock apps, or choosing keyboards. With the new stock apps, I frankly don't even want to choose alternate stock apps. And the keyboard has always been faster and easier for me than when I was using Swype (or any other keyboard for that matter) on my Galaxy S.

I was perfectly content with iOS 6, but iOS 7 sparked the excitement back into iOS. The stock apps no longer feel like taking a step back into 2007.

I'm so excited to begin using it!

If you don't think iOS looks anything like Android or WP8 then you need to get some glasses.

Kudos to the engineering team. Also, we now know why Steve Jobs didn't let Jony Ive design software. Minimalism as a style isn't universally dominant, evidently.

iOS 7 looks neat, but not because of Ive.

No they didn't. Doesn't changed the fact that Android copied what Apple was doing.
What did Google copy from Apple exactly?
The "Sooner" (BB style) and "Dream" (touch screen) Android devices were developed at the same time.
Both were in development before anyone knew what an iPhone was.

Is this a joke?

It appears we have gone android :( and in doing so lost all taste in design (look at those awful app icons  ) goodbye :apple:

A sheet of paper looks like a bed sheet if you only consider their profile and colour - they're both flat and white - but behave very differently.
