Regardless of the truth in your post, first is still first in the eyes of the consumer. Whoever gets the new feature out first is an innovator. Everyone who follows is a copy cat, regardless of if its better implemented or not.

In the end, Apple comes across as lagging behind. Or playing catch up. :(
There are a lot of features that android employs that have shown up in patents by Apple they had not yet released. Time will tell who is doing what. Everything Google show at their I/O was a laundry list of popular Apple features like Game Center

ummm

Not too sure what to think. The coloring seems to stand out a bit much, sorta like a circus poster or 80's video game. Doesn't have the real world feel to it anymore.. even though I'm in favor of "x"ing real life textures. The OS needed simplified usability and they seem to have implemented that well. Too minimal and the usability can be frustrating, such as with other companies currently. The new font scheme seems alright, but I like the depth that the current iOS has with slightly impressed fonts. I'll take it for what it is, but hope the pleasant look of more down to earth coloring and depth, along with innovative features, will be incorporated later on.

I'll need to see it in person. OS X lost some of Aqua's translucency over the years while becoming more elegant. On the other hand, Windows 7 Aero looks a lot more elegant than Windows 8 Metro.

Windows 7 Aero looks good but it don't use desktop space efficiently, win 8 metro is complete failure

Their is nothing wrong with the way iOS 6.1.4 works or looks. Apple has to change things just so they have somewhere to go and continue to be perceived as innovative. Newer does not mean better. Apple would disagree with me of course.

Here is an idea of what Android was going to be before the iPhone was released. As you can tell it's quite a bit different from what they actually released after the iPhone was unveiled.

Apart that there is a touch only demo on that video, has you actually looked at the ****ing date of it?

Why people think that those pictures and videos proves anything where no one of them show anything before the iPhone was released?

do you think the icons design could evolve until the release for all users ?

Who cares.

I have to say it has point. As much as Apple fans scream about how android is rip off of iOS and yet for 2-3 years in a row Apple has been pretty much doing straight copying from Android.

Sorry but Apple has lost all ground to scream COPY CAT. They have become a massive copy cat.

i love the life trolls lead. they come to this site, trying to convince everyone (or themselves) that apple is doomed. some prolly even get paid my samsung. oh yea...and i know many of them by name already :D
for them, its an awful iOS update. thanks, we get it. now go away and update your pathetic OS please. be happy with yours. dont spoil the fun of others who doesnt want to follow you.
for others, it maybe good or it maybe bad. lets enjoy and be happy with whatever we have :)

Dont forget HTC, everyone always think trolls only like samsung, but many an android handset is made by HTC, with their 471 PPI LCD 3 display.

It's because AirDrop uses a wifi technology called Wi-Fi Direct which needs a newer chip than the ones found in iPhone 4(s) and ipad3. I own an ipad 3 so I am a bit annoyed, but it's not apple's fault that they can't put AirDrop on it.

Ohh hmm okk then thank you :) seriosuly didn't know that... don't wanna upgrade tho :( I mean, haha I wish, but ya knoo^^

Hit the Nail on the head!

Finally someone who is talking sense

I think iOS 7 can be easily summed up - when you statistically take out the extremes (the "it's perfect amazement, Ive for God!" Fanboys and "It copied it all from Android, piece of crap!" haters) you're left with the rational 80% or so of people who will think -

1: Love the new functionality, a great improvement.

2: Hate the stupid, ill-proportioned, pre-school graphic icons.

The End.

Or even shorter: when you dismiss opinions you don't like, you can present your own opinion as the 'rational' choice.

i hate people.

People say they want apple to do something more, something different. People want Apple to take hints or concepts from the Jailbreak community.

People then mock, gasp and bellow in anger when Apple actually do just that.

People. I hate them.

What was wrong with the red stripe in the Calender icon? Will the Calendar icon is OSX also be changed in the future? This is too much reduction. Icons need to tell you what the app is about. If all we get as a hint is a white rectangle with an always changing number on it, we've gone all windows live tiles.
You never go full Android!!
Oh, noooo!

they really have no shame.

Put me down for #2 please.

And before anyone dares to think or say it... I've NEVER owned or used Android and never will. In fact, I'll never allow anything made by Samsung in this house again after they blatantly ripped off Apple's hardware designs.
