The design changes are underwhelming on the Mac, I agree. Still looks flat and washed out on light mode.If it's a "Liquid Glass" design, why are the stoplight controls still flat? Can't we have the glass-like Aqua controls again?

I know. And mail and calendar can sit back another year too 🙄. That mail icon, jeez. Nothing in Reminders and Notes that was stated. Looks like we have to go through “all the little things” for improvements.safari?
I argree. In the mean time , I'm using Raycast. But if Spotlight is better, then time to make a moveThe Spotlight stuff looks really good. This might be the year I drop Alfred, if I can make it do what I need.
Also really like the idea of putting the Control Center stuff from iOS into the sidebar. I could see that making my life easier, depending on the particulars.
The Glass thing I could take or leave but honestly it seems less important that some of the other stuff they're adding.
The new UI is just awful. Try reading the text underneath "Energy Mode"... you have to squint to read it because of the translucency behind it.View attachment 2517600
It's literally hard to read.
And I'm not talking about the (limited) resolution of these preview images.
Finder, context menus and pull down menus need a visual overhaul to match the new design language. Menus especially should be unified with the iPhone’s: larger text, more padding between items, simple icons, translucent background. The current setup is straight out of the 1990s.Finder? Anything? Not even a single word?

It's not that you're getting old. Apple has made it a habit these last few years of taking **** that's been done and rolling it into an update with fancy naming conventions and saying it's "innovative".I think I’m just getting old cause these announcements are just not as exciting as they used to be
I'll hope to stay loyal to Alfred, the OG.The announced clipboard history is indeed a key feature for me. If Spotlight turns to be snappy it could replace Alfred which has served me very well so far.
Yep! Blue color hues too, like Tiger was. It's 2005 all over again.Windows Vista vibes everywhere, right?

True. I bet it gets tweaked. Pretty trivial to dial up the blur effect. The new UI is just awful. Try reading the text underneath "Energy Mode"... you have to squint to read it because of the translucency behind it.

If the past is any guide, there will be a control in Accessibility to kill it through "reduce transparency".Can I set Transparency = None anywhere ?
There will most likely be accessibility options to turn off the translucency because it will undoubtedly be unusable for some people. Can I set Transparency = None anywhere ?
Ok, this is from the Apple.com iPadOS page. If this is the new style on MacOs I’ll be very happy.

With the white on white against white design, it will be harder for anybody to see anything on your devices -- including someone looking over your shoulder.View attachment 2517600
