Did we see what it looks like in dark mode? The new UI is just awful. Try reading the text underneath "Energy Mode"... you have to squint to read it because of the translucency behind it.

Those poor Intel Macs are still holding on. I wonder how this will run on these
With security updates the 2019 16” MacBook Pro will be supported to 2028.
I hadn't seen any screenshots...Did we see what it looks like in dark mode?

Goes to Accessibility Menu:….. turns off transparency, turns off animations, turns on contrast. Ahhhhhh
I'm not sure. I kept seeing light modes and my eyes were (as usual) close to exploding seeing it. I wonder if they'll give us the ability to tune the opacity or contrast a littleDid we see what it looks like in dark mode?
This will be fixed. It's still an early beta. The new UI is just awful. Try reading the text underneath "Energy Mode"... you have to squint to read it because of the translucency behind it.

A Little disappointed they won't be supporting the 2018 Mac mini.Wow. They are no longer supporting the 2018 Mac mini even though it had only been discontinued in 2023...
I will say if it's not a little bit more consistent it'll stick out even more than it does now. I don't need a full glass approach but I do like some amount of continuity within an OS.Finder, context menus and pull down menus need a visual overhaul to match the new design language. Menus especially should be unified with the iPhone’s: larger text, more padding between items, simple icons, translucent background. The current setup is straight out of the 1990s.
Probably. The OCLP guys are GOOD.Will Liquid Glass work on my 2009 Mac Mini?
I wonder if this means they've gotten rid of the top bar matching the website coloring. I see here the backgrounds for the navigation / toolbar has tinting on it now.
Spotlight's a "big" addition in functionality, but it's also kind of a quality-of-life upgrade. Also is it me or did we barely get any new real features? I feel like this year aside from the new design was pretty weak in terms of features in macOS and iOS.
There was a weird moment in the macOS video where they actually skipped over showing a dropdown menu! The presenter declared that he was going to paste something and moused up to "Edit," but he didn't actually open the menu and click "Paste"..I will say if it's not a little bit more consistent it'll stick out even more than it does now. The Spotlight stuff looks really good. This might be the year I drop Alfred, if I can make it do what I need.
Also really like the idea of putting the Control Center stuff from iOS into the sidebar. I could see that making my life easier, depending on the particulars.
The Glass thing I could take or leave but honestly it seems less important that some of the other stuff they're adding.
Speaking of accessibility nightmares 😂I wasn't able to watch the keynote and I'll have to wait a bit until I'm home, but looking at the screenshots in this thread the UI looks like an accessibility nightmare and given Apple's history of being an accessible platform I really, really hope there are options to disable things like the transparent menu bar
