I sincerely dont get the notch hate. Typing on my macbook pro right now, theres a big thick black bezel, then the top Apple menu bar, so the working space starts an inch from the top of the metal enclosure. With the new design, it pushes the apple menu bar up, and the notch occupies a space I basically never use anyway. Its, actually not bad. My iPhone X has a notch and I dont even think about it. Im surprised no one is reacting much to how thick/heavy the new MBP's are though

I found it hard to focus on anything else.

Yes, before anyone says, you can ‘hide’ it in dark mode but why should we have to hide something because of an abysmal design decision? I would’ve much rather had slightly thicker bezels.

Yes indeed, I can't believe they really added a horrible notch also to a Mac. Terrible choice Apple. I was definitely interested in this machine, but with a notch, NO WAY. I work with images and I don't want the images displayed be ruined by a notch. A notch!?! You must be kidding. Un be lie va ble.

This MacBook Pro looks incredible. 64 GB of unified memory is insane for a laptop. Even includes HDMI, MagSafe and an SD card slot!

I’m currently using the new M1 iMac as my main computer and it is so much faster than my previous Intel iMac

Once I start going back to traveling, I’m going to need a MacBook Pro so I’m definitely planning on getting one by next fall or whenever there is another update to the MBP

I’ll really miss the TouchBar, but really excited for the new MBPs - the design reminds me of the Al PowerBook G4 & early MBPs...
The notch should be a non-issue as it will disappear in full-screen mode with videos. Not sure how full screen apps will handle it, though...

I like the new MacBook Pro. This should go a long way to satisfying people disappointed with the 2016-2020 models. HDMI and SD come back, it gets a much more powerful GPU, and the Touch Bar is gone.

I thought the same thing about the bottom case design - reminded me of my 2006 pre-unibody MBP.
