No, it's not a red phone. It's a Product (Red) phone. They are using the death of over a million people a year to promote the illusion of activism via cause branding. I thought this fad went away with the iPod, but I am sure that one person from 2014 will appreciate that it matches their SQUA(RED) Reader.

If they wanted to reinvolve themselves in this they would make their next iPhone exclusively a Product (Red) for the first few months to maximize donations. Make the Red more compelling by giving it exclusive access to new tech and donating the early adopter tax. That won't happen because social good isn't the point of this. Apple is trying to reinvigorate sales of an old product instead of actually helping people in need.

And why can't it be both activism and a way to reinvigorate sales?

I think I can safely say that this one product will help more people in this world than I will be able to do in my lifetime.

Probably the worst and most ugly mobile phone design available on the market today! May be for a great cause, but in that colour that's ALL it's good for! Yyuuukkkk

Agreed. I find it horrendous looking. Then again, I find red in general to be far and away the worst color of ROYGBIV.

This is iPhone MAGA to me. The same colours.

That render above looks fabulous. Apple has to have built some, and they preferred the white fascia.

Think about that.

I see no reason not to do this, as well as the white bezels. It's for charity, after all. But Apple is just so weird with color offerings sometimes. They get in their groove and that's that. I'm not sure who makes the decisions on their colors but whoever it is really likes white bezels on iPhones.

and still no iPhone SE with 256GB..

well....... 128 > 32 by a long shot, hope the next SE out gets a (RED) option too, I'll go for it even if it's not black and red. Totally love the (RED) stuff, got a nano and take it everywhere for the radio... no case on it and it takes a beating getting thrown into a handbag loose, but it still looks new.

Why are you here then? I've read all the posts and TBH, I don't see much whining. I see people sharing their opinions about the new color red. Some like it, some don't. Some are disappointed no new hardware.

If you can't handle the opinions, read the article and move along...

Lol you're funny. Here, have a cookie.

So then your opinion on whether blue is a prettier color than green must also be more accurate. LOL!

Nope. This post does, however, confirm my suspicion that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Maybe I'm one of the few, but I have the gold 7+ and I have no issue with the white bezel. And this is somebody who is coming from using space gray for iPhones for years.

But there's no doubt my mind, a black display as a whole would have looked way better on the Product Red iPhone.

Thank you! That was my point too.
But some of us here can't handle opinions.

So much complaining for a white font. Come on. :)
