How is a firmware update supposed to make them fit your ear?
I second this. My wife (also in my home office) has gotten on a work call since my last post. While I can still hear some of her conversation in the background (especially the high tones), the AirPods do seem to be doing a bit better at blocking it out than with 2C54. It’s not dramatic, but I am noticing a small difference.I think ANC has improved somewhat with 2D15. I did a before and after test with music in the background. With firmware 2C54 I could hear the music a little, with the new firmware less so.

Mine updated to 2D15 as well with out even knowing it.My pair has already been updated to 2D15 from 2B588; didn't do anything other than connecting (BT, not wired) to my MBP for ~30 minutes. Haven't felt any changes.
I have a great idea Apple, how about have release notes so we as the consumers know what was changed or fixed.
Those are accidental damage allowances. The clicking is a defect, so there's no count.I've already used up one allowance. I think we get 2?
Yeah, I think I'll do that. Sadly I have to wait for my local Apple Store to open...
How long did it take for rattling to start happening for you, if I might ask, and have you had the new non rattling ones as long as that?I think the rattling is a hardware issue as I had it in both APP and Apple replaced immediately. Both replacements have no rattling.
Come onnnnn, update!
There really should be a more straightforward way to update firmware. Seriously.
Keep the lid closed!Whatever. I plugged it in a half hour ago with the case top open. Still no update.
I have the original firmware ANC is great!
