Wow, almost the same thing happened to me but I made it through the Apple upgrade program, submitted my payment information, and picked a location for pickup on November 3 as mail delivery was for 11/10, and then selected a time for pickup. This should have completed my order but I got the spinner of doom- which I let sit spinning, figuring it would process eventually. After ten minutes I went to a laptop browser and wasn’t able to enroll in the Apple upgrade program(just kept getting kicked out of those screens) so I did Verizon’s payment plan and got a shipping estimate of 11/15. But no email from Apple saying there was an issue. I got all the way through Apple upgrade enrollment and picked my pickup time on the 3rd when the app simply stopped responding. Is this worth a call to Apple to see if they have my info? I worried, actually, that I bought two phones, but I’ve only gotten the confirmation for the Verizon payment plan phone, delivering on the 15th.

I’m in the same exact boat. I stayed up to 3am to do it as soon as possible and didn’t end up being able to actually sign up for iUP until like 3:30Am when I did get to sign up it kept saying there was an error. I was supposed to be able to pick it up from an apppr store on launch day but now I’m stuck waiting until DECEMBER. super frustrating.

What countries are you from if your shipping date as changed? Apple must be calculating this on what ships and dock at what country. Mine is 13-20 and nothing yet UK. I think we need to start putting a country location in these posts to give readers a better chance of finding out if where they are in the list.
I am from the US. (Date moved from Dec 11-18 to Nov 3)

How did you get them to move it all the way from Dec 11 to Nov 3?
Honestly I’m not sure, I didn’t ask for it to be moved up or anything like that. But in my post on page 15 or 16, I put some of the details about what happened on pre-order day for me. I think they may considered all of my issues with the iUP and decided to move my delivery date as a token of appreciation? Or maybe it just worked out that it was overestimated? I eventually got my order in around 6 AM EST after starting at about 3:06 AM EST.

My order updated from 11/17-11/24 to 11/3 sometime today. :)

Full disclosure.. the Apple Store didn't come up for me until 3:10am (9mins after most people could access it) and I was EXTREMELY vocal about it.. immediately emailing Tim Cook's email and making sure to call in a couple times expressing how I felt being a member of the IUP program two years in a row and sticking with Apple being my only source for ordering the latest phone has been a terrible experience. Not sure if because of this my order was moved up.. or just because it was an IUP order in general. Either way, I'm considering ordering directly from my carrier next year and forgetting this whole IUP fiasco in the future.

Good idea I located his public email and did the same thing. I was on IUP and had the preapproval all done but it took me til 12 past the hour to get on had the same issue with the same date of 11/17 -11/24 like you did I also gave feedback and passed similar information on to an apple service representative in the store. For moment no change for me however still stuck at the 11/17-11/24 time ;-)

I have a bit of a different story I wanted to share about my shipment date after seeing the MacRumors article. I was up at 3:01 AM EST just like everyone else and I was excited about being able to pick it up in one of the stores in Michigan on November 3rd. However, I had a problem enrolling in the iPhone Upgrade Program. After several failed attempts over an hour with both the app and my laptop's web browser, I had to take another route. The shipment date kept getting pushed back all the way to 5-6 weeks (as confirmed in the screenshot of my intial order email which shows the estimated delivery date of Dec 11-18) and all of the in-store pickup windows became unavailable so I decided to just use the Verizon Device Payment program with PayPal Credit. It actually worked out better for me since I wanted a lower monthly payment so I decided to make a down payment.

Apple emailed me the next day saying that their records appeared to show I had an issue with getting my iPhone Loan. I sent them basically that reply along with my order number as they requested. I woke up today and the transaction was finally posted and my delivery date was shifted to November 3rd as many others in this thread.

I had the identical issue, as I’ve already written, only when I wasn’t able to get through, after seemingly completing the process of purchasing the phone through the IUP, the app froze and so I tried again and got the message that I already had an active order and I had to cancel before I could buy another phone. No email or confirmation has come. I have now made four calls to Apple sales and customer service. This is what I was told by a “supervisor” which clearly isn’t true: the iPhone upgrade program for new users doesn’t open up until November 3rd. The message I am seeing is my “reservation” to “apply” starting November 3. I said there’s no way that’s true and the CS supervisor said that anyone claiming they signed up for IUP for the first time is confused, they’ve only reserved their place to apply.

This was after waiting on hold for over an hour and a half. I still don’t know what that active order is and if I should expect a phone. I was scheduled for a November 3 Apple store pickup. I was able to purchase a phone for a line I wasn’t planning to upgrade through the Verizon payment plan, which I plan to swap out the sim from. It doesn’t deliver until 11/15.

I'm from Germany and I find it a little odd, that when I went to order the iPhone X it said delivery on the 3rd. When I finished checking out it already slipped to 2-3 weeks. And now I have the date set for 21 - 28, which - by my calculation - is 4 - 5 weeks. Is that the "normal" European 2 - 3 weeks, as I see a lot of American customers having 17 - 21?

anyone else order from tmobile on launch morning and got a UPS tracking number? i'm not sure what date i should expect arrival in NJ...

So this is the exact same situation for me, here in Italy!

Thank you! I've spoken with an Executive that works with Tim Cook (after I emailed him, she called from Austin, TX), however I haven't seen my ship date move up yet. I'm happy for you though!! I'm glad to see they are trying to make things right. I will say this though however, the order confirmation email that I received from Apple doesn't look like the first image you posted. It didn't say anything about trade-in instructions.

I just don’t really get it. I would think that a multi billion company would either a) ensure there is enough stock or b) make sure their deliver dates are accurate. I mean 21 - 28 is not 2-3 weeks. I will call Apple tomorrow. I know they probably can’t do anything about it, but I think they should at least know that their information is slightly misleading.

To be honest, I never expected my order email to mention trade in instructions, because my carrier is T-Mobile and I was under the impression that I HAD to go into a store in order to swap/activate my phone... but I guess that is not the case?

Also, I too have been in contact with an executive after having sent my email to Tim Cook. The lady’s name is Dawn and she, as well, is located and called me from Austin, TX.

I'm happy for you. I hope everyone who got the short end of the stick gets an date bump! Maybe I should've spoken to Dawn, however I do have a feeling that I will be seeing a date change soon :)

Hope they contact me also I sent email yesterday to Tim about my experiences as IUP member (quick after getting in because of preapproval, but too long to snag a November 3 date) hope Dawn or someone in his office also calls me would love to at least maybe move up to next batch from the 17-24 dates ;-). I think it is getting to late to hope I can snag a delivery of November 3

I just checked and saw my delivery estimate change from 11/17 - 11/24 to 11/16 - 11/24. I haven't seen mention of this change on any of the other threads yet.

Every inch counts, right?

Yup, mine changed too from 11/17-11/24 to 11/16-11/24.

My date hasn't changed at all. Online right away, ordered when first available. (When I clicked date was Nov 3rd delivery) AT&T and apple couldn't talk so I was told my phone was reserved. No big deal right.

Get my email to come back and finish my reservation. I do that within 30 minutes.

Order completed Nov 17th - Nov 24th delivery date.....Hasn't moved sooner at all. Thanks Apple & AT&T. :(
