It would be nice if people here stop looking for "problems" and instead flex their imaginations a bit and look for solutions.
If Apple paid me a six figure salary, I would be more than happy to look for solutions to the problems they created! Hit me, Tim! I might even actually do some work for that kind of money every now and then. Promise.

Main problem with this AVP it’s that is made of glass and aluminum…
I suppose that Apple vision pro 2 or 3 will be on polymers

omg good luck with that. My Quest 3 is 510 g and I just tried watching a 90 minute movie with it and it was hell. Not on my neck or anything but the pressure on your cheeks and the weight on the nose is getting a lot and its not like you can make it any less tight without light leakage

This. It's not that bad on your neck, although that's coming from an averaged muscle male who works out so I don't rule out how it's going to feel for those with weaker necks. FYI women are significantly disadvantaged with things such as whiplash and neck injuries because they have less musculature. I'm not trying to extrapolate an injury which happens in milliseconds to wearing a headset for minutes/hours, but insidious chronic injuries are a thing also.

But to your point, the discomfort is in other areas as well. After about an hour on the Quest 2 my forehead and eyes would hurt and often I'd have a mild headache which would worsen if I kept it on.

Honestly I think they just made some bad design choices, like putting a screen on the front just so people could see your eyes and using too much "premium" materials instead of just plastic. But I guess they have to justify the cost somehow.
I also don’t get the EyeSight. Who cares? It’s not gonna matter to my cat. Could have saved weight and cost.

I use the BOBOVR strap and it’s fine for me

So, after all the complaining about the weight, it now turns out the Quest Pro is even heavier. I'm laughing my a*s off. Now that the haters can no longer scream about the weight, they turn to "balancing" issues, whatever that means. Please be aware that the AVP goes on the face. It won't work if you put the device on the top of your head.

Here’s how Vision Pro’s weight stacks up to some of the other headsets on the market:

DeviceWeight (ounces)Weight (grams)
Apple Vision Pro21.2 and 22.9 ounces600 to 650 grams
Meta Quest Pro25.5 ounces722 grams
Meta Quest 318.2 ounces515 grams
Meta Quest 217.7 ounces503 grams
PlayStation VR219.7 ounces560 grams

It's heavy. And weight distribution is also a thing with the Vision Pro weight sitting away from your face on a cloth cushion. Let's see what people think when they're delivered, all we know so far is from most who've tried it the most common feedback was 'it's heavy!'

I returned my AirPods Max because I didn't find them comfortable for more than an hour or so and they weigh 384.8 grams. I realize these devices are not the same, but they are both devices that add weight on your head. Best of luck at 600 and 650 grams everyone.
My AirPods Max didn't bother me at all, I can use them for hours, no trouble.

I have the Quest 3 and it’s comfortable with the BOBOVR strap. Is 85g more really a huge difference? 🤔

Most reviewers mentioned that when they added the Dual Loop Band, the too much weight problem was gone.

Right. I wasn't speaking for anyone else here, although there are plenty of people who think the weight of the APM is off-putting based off what I've read in multiple forums. There are also plenty of people who don't find the weight to be a problem. However, if you asked all of those people if they would rather have a lighter version of APM, at least 95% of them would say yes. The other 5% would be lying.

I’m trying to point out the amount of grams you may find comfortable are a personal opinion. I doubt the comparison is very realistic anyway.

good point, but for what it's worth the weight of the AirPod Max has never bothered me either. But it does seem more balanced. Time will tell about the APV.

That is Apple's job, not the end-user.

is it? which part, the finding problems part or the think of what works for you part? cause the point was, maybe people who haven't tried it on yet (all of us, or at least most), might wait before saying the sky is falling down.

That reminds me of what they say about wet suits and peeing... but never mind. of course everyone is going to want it lighter, and cheaper, and higher resolution, with a forehead magic fingers massager built in. oh, and can it be air conditioned too? Who is going to say no to any of that? (except maybe the magic fingers).

point is you voiced your opinion on weight of the AirPods Max. Others have voiced theirs too. Personal preference is just that right? Even better when you can couple it with choice.

Table to show the percentage difference in weight. I've taken the average for the Vision Pro which varies between 600 and 650 grams (different storage options, bands?).

Exactly. I have no issue with others sharing their experiences. That is part of why we are all here in the first place.
