Apple Watch 2 With GPS for Improved Navigation, Fitness Tracking Coming This Fall

Official waterproofing + GPS is what I want. I've always felt like a fool hiding my technology in my shoe, on shore, when I go for an open water swim/surf.
Personally I’d prefer the option to turn the cellular radio off.
LTE isn't needed in the watch. Throw a low power EDGE chip in there, problem solved. Can get data like scores, etc, no problem. They are over thinking the cell part.
The placement means it would almost have to face forward, unless you're asking for this:
This. A few people I know have the Gear and their watch literally has it's own cell phone number. I couldn't imagine paying for another line for my watch like that.
The rumored addition of the GPS and tracking features still aren't enough to make me desire an Apple Watch.
If all my current Apple Watch bands are going to fit Apple Watch 2 the they'll have my money come fall. But if not I'll put off buying it for a while.

Or stats nuts. I like my Fitbit HR as I love the stats I get from it. I am a bit tragic like that!
Vision? Try fantasy... You say for when you don't have your phone with you but the watch literally requires the phone for like 75% of its functions. Do you have an apple watch? Do you ever wear it without having your phone?
I still don't see the point in smartwatches. No matter what features they have, you're always going to be able to do the same thing, and much better, on your smartphone.

I personally appreciate the overall thickness on the Watch paired with my 42 MM stainless steel. If It's thinner, so be it.
If your referring to the compability of the first Gen bands with the second Gen Watch, there is no doubt in my mind the Apple Watch 2 will be completely compatible. I have a lot invested in my bands and this would be disappointing if they were not compatible. But again, I'm not concerned in the slightest.
Okay, when Apple eventually does it in a neat way, you can come back here and thank me for my forward thinking approach to the future design instead of put up the walls and criticising me.

For capturing all sorts of photos on the go when you're without your phone.
Um, that argument can be applied to pervs using iPhones in the restrooms.
Just look at the diameter of the camera on the iPhone whilst holding it next to the watch.. It would have to be thicker to accommodate it in the body of the watch, especially since the band is attached there as well cutting back even more on available room!
AWW man and I wanted a totally redundant feature that would add absolutely no benefit and adversely affect the design and battery life of Apple Watch. Dang it!
I can almost guarantee with certainty, there will not be. Highly unlikely.
