I usually get the SS model as well but, decided that the increase in price over last year was not worth it to me. I went with aluminum instead. I will probably upgrade next year anyway so, decided to save some money.I have decided to go with the Stainless Steel model. Honestly the $300 extra is worth not having the worry about the screen scratching. I also decided to go with Graphite this year.
I would seriously recommend the extra spend. I always have gotten the SS model as it, and the sapphire display are simply unscratchable. I work in a machine shop and have NEVER taken mine off. Meanwhile my wife always bought the aluminum and every year they are scratched to crap by the time we want to get new ones. Mine sell every year for $500+ on FB, so I spend about $200-$250 per year for the upgraded device. Last year my wife finally sprung for the SS...she now agrees, never going back.
Stainless and titanium appear to have identical tech specs. No mention of DLC coating. My only concern with this is that this year it looks like Apple has REMOVED the DLC coating from the SS (probably just like the colors, to force people to go one model up) and it is now ONLY on the Titanium black.... so I am thinking SS will get scratched to hell now....

Titanium SB is advertised with the coating (DLC). The others aren’t. But it wouldn’t be the first time Apple just misses to write that detail down. Time will tell.
If you scroll down on the "buy" page of the Titanium watch, "What's in the Box" shows the color matched Sport Band is included.Does anyone know if the Titanium Apple Watch 7 comes with the color matched sport band in addition to whatever other band you choose when ordering? I don't see any mention of this on Apple's website. I really like the color of the light grey sport band that came with the natural titanium models in the past.
If I am not mistaken, Apple accidentally omitted the DLC option on the SS a few years ago during orders and once enough people complained, they added it back to the tech sheet. I am guessing it is another oversight by Apple. If this is just an omission, it needs to be fixed FAST or there are going to be a ton of returns. DLC on the SS is the difference between a mint looking SS in a year or looking like the back of one of the original iPods in a week. It's THAT significant....
Ok. I was looking at tech specs when creating a watch. This appears to be a different page.View attachment 1860510

I thought the SS went up by $100 this year. Maybe I am wrong. The steel models were the same price this year as last. I’m confused.
I think this is a very attractive combo. Don't think the green color will be around next year, which makes it more special.I think I am the only person that ordered the Aluminium Green with Green leather band. 😺
