Ran today on the new Phase II of the Bob Callan Trail (near end of construction). It is scheduled to open July 25 but I ran the entire way without going to jail.:D

One year bodybuilding update: Long Post....

{I completed 252 training sessions exactly in 12
Months, totaling just over 500 hours worth}.

So, for those who didn’t know, I started last year at this time on July 13, 2018 in pursuit of starting as a bodybuilder. I’ve always enjoyed weightlifting, but I decided to take it to the next level and really start building the framework during my first year of making the commitment, learning from my mentors and striving to be the best version of myself that I can be as a bodybuilder (I don’t have a coach, aside from following professional bodybuilders online). It’s been the most challenging lifestyle change I’ve ever encountered through all kinds of emotions, and have come across quite a few hurdles in terms of changing my eating habits, dietary/supplements, sleeping patterns, and basically I demolished any social life I had spending five days a week in the gym on top of my personal/work life.

There are a lot of misconceptions about bodybuilding and what it really is, it’s not about being inside the gym all the time, half of it is living the lifestyle outside the gym in the things I mentioned in the above paragraph, and then of course remaining committed all the time. I never felt like giving up, I always remained focused to my craft, I never missed the gym unless something absolutely took priority over it.

There’s lots of areas improvement in the future for me, but I’m proud of where I once was to what I’ve become now, but now that the first year is out of the way and I figured my learning curve, learned from mistakes I made and strengthening my weaknesses, the second year for 2019 leading to 2020, I plan on really putting on some serious body mass, Now that I have a strong grasp of what I need to do to push myself to the next level.

I’m on vacation at my time share in Ft. Meyers from now until July 18, and then July 19 the saga continues of my bodybuilding lifestyle 2.0 for R.P., as I will continue to share with you my updates/pictures.

Congrats & great job.

We have 39 LA Fitness locations in ATL and have been to about 12 closest to me. Have decided to visit them all. Had day off Friday and went to one of farthest from me at Mall of Georgia (#8). Also went to Atlantic Station (#5) the day before and also looked at some condos. So 111 miles (actually about 10 to 12 were for work) for 2 trips to the gym. At least didn’t have to drive much.:D

So get this, down on vacation in Fort Myers, I decided I want stay one more day before flying back. So I called the airline to make an alteration to my flight plan, and they wanted to charge me a $1000 just to make the change. Absolutely ludicrous. So the following morning I start packing and I received an automated message that my layover was delayed due to stormy weather, so I called the airline to confirm my flight plan for the day (Was on hold for an hour), only to find out that my flight actually was canceled, and they allowed me to make a change to my airfare stay one more day absolutely _free_ without charge. So here I am down in Fort Myers for one more day of vacation, enjoying the weather and the lifestyle before I start chapter 2 on Monday in the gym.

[Alternate view from my room. This is exactly where I would do my cardio on the beach, which leads straight down to ‘Time Square in Fort Myers’, which also has a long pier from a photo I shared earlier.]

Went to Ansley Mall LA Fitness (older/smaller) this morning. Did cardio and then went for a 6 mile run on The BeltLine. It was of course scooter dodging running. Did find a couple of places were they were actually lined up instead of just dropped and left. Weird that on the BeltLine I even saw several people wearing workout clothes riding them?????

The Atlantic in Atlantic Station. 47 floors and 2ed tallest condo building in Atlanta. Considering a condo here but just a tad pricy.

I usually run (and do all workouts) in the mornings. Not so much a goal as an obsession.

Off work so went to LA Fitness at Camp Creek (near the airport) to do chest/triceps and then came back and ran 6 miles. Newley opened (Saturday) Bob Callen trail phase II.
