Went out to the park and got in a 14.4 mile run, a personal best. Here are pictures I took of the foliage I see when I drive into the park area.

We had a heat warning today and usually I can’t stand doing runs in the heat but was able to do 18 miles.

So this weekend would have been the in-person races (5k, 1k, half marathon and full marathon), but thanks to the Delta variant and a surge in COVID cases they decided to go virtual.
I think it was a good idea, going virtual, because they have people coming from all over the US and they have a lot of people for all 4 races.
But my wife and I had rented a B&B in Yellow Springs, so we went anyway and ran our races on the railroad converted to a running and biking trail.
Got in a 5k yesterday evening and a half marathon (13.1 miles) this morning. When we went to the museum yesterday to pick up our race packets, they had some planes out on the runway nearby.
A-10 Thunderbolt II:
AC-130A Spectre Gunship:
And a C-17 Globemaster III with little number statues for the race distances:

I had a rough week, so I ended up spending a pretty penny just ubering to work the entire week.
my weekly stats are pretty low. And right now I’m omw to dimsum, later tonight is birthday celebration for in-law, and tmr is ramen and studying. So… 😬
I had this down to 6.2 at one point, now it’s 7.0, still under the 7.5

Oops! We ran into some problems.

A few weeks ago I found a new trail to run at. Just took some photos this weekend. The trail is narrow and follows a marsh in the southern part of the city I live in.
My photos are unedited mostly because I don’t know how to edit properly on my iPhone.
I had to stop to contemplate the Color of the Mediterranean Sea.
