Tripled my 730cal move goal today, and got over 200 exercise minutes.

Did jogging along the Niagara Parkway, and some hiking at Niagara Glen (wanted to do the Whirlpool trail to get close to the whirlpool and upper rapids but it was closed due to high water levels so settled for the lower rapids)

Rapids (you can get much closer if you go off trail but they had lots of staff patrolling to make sure people didn’t go off trail for safety):

And finally how calm it gets outside the rapids:

Out for an 8 mile run on a beautiful day.

Leaving building and first thing I see is filming in our neighborhood.

Next filming in midtown.

And just for fun. Here is my building in The Falcon and the Winter Solder. Just a few blocks from World Trade Center. Should have sold then since it would have ben quadrupled in value.:oops:

Here is a REAL pic from a similar (lower/farther back)vantage point

What time do you workout at? There’s no one in your gym. I train at 1 Am typically, and there’s usually less than 3 people at my gym during that time, sometimes it’s all to myself.
The back/bi pic was about 9:30AM. There were probably a couple of dozen people there. Most morning people were cleared out by then and most of the rest were back in the free weight area (pic from a few months ago) or on the cardio machines. I took the pic because there was no one around. LA Fitness has a strict no picture/video policy so you have to be carful, especially of photographing other people.

More pictures from the Battelle Darby Creek Park in Columbus, OH, where I like to go run on the weekends.

Here is the sign at my start / stop / turn around point:

Now that the trees and bushes are getting their spring growth, some of the trails have a natural canopy overhead:

Up a hill:)
One thing I like about my favorite trail at the local park is that there is about 100 vertical feet for every 2 mile loop I run. It makes fro a tough and good workout.

Having said that, the inclines on my route pale in comparison to the terrain on your shots - lovely pictures.

[EDIT: pail -> pale]

My daily exercise is going up hills - this gives me a good all round workout and gets the heart pumping early. I have retired now but still enjoy getting out there and just doing it:)

One thing I miss from my college days - one summer semester a friend and I could get into the football stadium at University of Florida and we would run (well, jog really) up and down the stadium steps. We called it "doing stadiums."

That was a fantastic workout, and I was so disappointed the next semester when all the gates were locked.

This is probably where my desire to run up hills / inclines for a tough workout comes from. 🏃‍♂️

Here is a ramp to a new section of the Beltline trail in NE Atlanta. Oddly it doesn't connect to any of the completed parts (yet). South left and north right.
IMG_8134.jpeg

Here it ends just short of the I85 underpass (heading north).
IMG_8135.jpeg

Other-side (north looking south) of I85 and were trail will continue.
IMG_8138.jpeg

Running parallel to the I85 elevation.

(heading South) Here it ends less than a mile from the completed Pediment section.

The Camp Chase Trail that runs through the Battelle Darby Creek Park had an addition not too long before the COVID pandemic. So even though this section (the trail runs though, but it not limited to, the park) has been available to use for probably a year and a half, Friday was the first time I had a chance to run on it. Nice area - lots of woods on either side, good inclines, and since it is paved a recent rain won't make it messy to run on.

Camp Chase Trial is part of the larger Ohio to Erie Trail:

Some of the lush woods on the sides of the trail:

Got in a run at my favorite trail earlier this morning. First picture is what I usually see to either side of the trail as I run on it and the second one is a part of the trail where you can either leave (go left to the parking lot) or keep on running (right).

More pictures from recent runs out at my local park.

Fist, the trail I have been running on this week was funded to some extent by the Clean Ohio Fund, according to a sign on the trail:

After stretching and walking over to my starting point I saw this bird feeder:

And for some of the trail a railroad track runs alongside:
