Are the Siri watch face features fully working? So far I only get suggestions for weather, sunrise and sunset. Can anyone share what else is working for you?

Since they have improved the smart coaching for Activities, do you think they could have also implemented the auto goal setting like Garmin’s trackers?

Aah news. The missing app..
The Siri watch face will probably be at its best when you have a booked calender with addresses for the locatioons and extra info. Good use of reminders, notes and apps supporting SiriKit I guess.

I hope Siri next year becomes a coach on the watch. Now she reminds you about working out. Next year she might tell you to keep pushing a little bit harder to beat your last run. Do yet another push-up. Cheer you on on your first 10k run and so on.

My option is greyed out and can’t add anything. I have a series 2 watch.
Aluminum? Or SS? I'm on OS4/Series2/aluminum - and the VO2 Max Health Option shows no available Data Sources...

I don’t use any third party health/workout apps except Sleep++

Not who you asked, but battery life is terrible. Ended up having to charge it at 7 PM after putting the watch on at 10AM. Worked out from 5-6 PM and ended up with a 6% battery.

But this is just the first beta, so it's fine.

Did you take your iPhone on your run when you got the VO2 max in your health app?

Thanks
I just went for a run to see if it triggered the VO2 access - sadly nothing... I wonder if you need a longer history of runs? Or maybe an S2 stainless watch?

Updated:

There's text in VO2 Max section of the health app:

"...captured during intense Outdoor Walk or moderate to intense Outdoor Run sessions in the Workout app which are at least 20 minutes in length and contain a persistent heart rate throughout the workout session"

So - yes, I was lazy and ran around the block (1/4 mile) I'll try another run asap.

This is an Apple Watch thread. Those are iOS 11 features. Please post there, not here.

In case anyone is wondering, I was able to get a custom iPhone selfie-photo onto my Apple Watch (original version) although it took ages to sync across from my iPhone and I thought it wasn't going to work. Eventually, however, it did get there. So be patient if you're working with one of these slow first gen watches.

So, Series 0 owners: now that nearly 2 days have passed, how would you rate performance, particularly lagginess? Improved? I know it's beta 1, but initial indications may still be useful.

Seems fine on mine for the past 5 days! My battery hasn't been great for several months now, so I have become used to leaving it in Airplane mode all day and then letting it sync heart, sleep, and other data with my iPhone when I am home in the evening and it is charging. Then I wear it all night (for the sleep data) and go through the next day just fine. I don't notice any change in UI performance compared to watchOS 3 and I like all of the changes I have seen so far, especially the custom photo face which I set, and also the app list (instead of the honeycomb). Also, lock screen password numbers are bigger and easier to see/target. Performance wise, again, it seems the same to me as with OS 3.

Updating to WatchOS 4 will be amazing! Hope it will run fine on series 0 or I WILL be buying a new one.

It runs fine on a Series 0, but this may be the last major release of watchOS to do so I fear.

Here’s my VO2 max rating on the Apple Watch Series 2. Of course, as with everything the importance will be how this number improves as I run. I’ve always wanted to be able to measure my VO2 max though, so if this thing is accurate I’ll be really happy.

Anyone else noticed that external HRM are no longer linking. Also, the VO2 max is pretty inconsistent in showing up. People that have got the VO2 max, did u run with the phone?

I just ran with the Watch. 30 mins or so at a good pace.

I’m using a polar h7 HRM with the Gymaholic app. It won’t link to the nike run club and I haven’t tried the workout app. Series 2.
