I can't get watchOS 4 beta 2 installed.

I tried to update earlier but it just stalled for hours and didn't go anywhere.

Eventually tried again, and I just get "Can't Connect to Apple Watch" in the Apple Watch App.

I've already unpaired and repaired the watch, reinstalled the Beta Profile, and same issue!

Same with me

Had the same problem. Restarting the watch and being persistent with the Update button did the trick for me.

Yup. This beta is really hard to get installed for some reason. Watch app is seriously flaky.

I got this after awhile but eventually you will see notification badge for the settings app to let you know the beta 2 update is ready to be downloaded and installed as long as you have it connected to the charging dock and more than 50%. It is about 277MB for the update.

Haha. Finally got it to install. For the longest time it would insist the watch wasn't connected to its charger and over 50%. It was, and had 86% charge. Then suddenly after I had force quit the watch app for the nth time, an alert appeared on the watch to start the install. After a short verification, it is now installing. Fingers crossed!

Sigh...I don’t even see the watchOS beta 2 update in my Watch app. It just says checking for update and then tells me my Watch is up to date.

They do something different each time you raise the watch or tap to wake. Well Buzz does on mine anyway (42mm SBLB S0)

So I didn't have any problems with Beta 1 at all other than your usual sluggishness and battery drain. I updated to Beta 2 this afternoon and it appears that my watch is no longer tracking any movement whatsoever. It hasn't marked me as standing, exercising, burning calories, or contributing and distance to Health even though I just did a 3 mile jog. I even had the workouts app running and noticed shortly in that the only thing that was changing was my heart rate and the elapsed time.

Trying everything I can to fix it now. Tried turning off and turning back on every movement/fitness setting I could find on both my phone and watch. Tried restarting both devices several times. Just put it through an un-pair/re-pair cycle and it doesn't seem to have fixed anything. Quite frustrating since it looks like this will cause me to lose my move streak. If anyone else is currently or has previously experienced something similar please let me know if there's a method to fixing this, it would be greatly appreciated.

In case anyone is wondering, unfortunately yes, this is my daily device. Believe me, I know the risks, however it's my only watch to test on so it's either this or have no idea if my apps work on a real device.

Device Details: Series 0, 42mm Sport - Paired with an iPhone 6s - Both running latest betas.

Are other people having this movement tracking issue? I am holding off on updating to Beta v2 until I know if this is a widespread problem or a one-off bug.

Yes, I was about to update but will hold on till v3 if activity isn't tracked

How to get notifications sound on both iPhone and watch? All sounds are diverted to the watch!
I can no longer find the old trick of General > Wrist Detection, that worked on WatchOS 3.X to have notifications sound on both?

After I saw the massive drain I deleted everything but Things and Fantastical. Didn’t help. Now I try without any 3rd party apps. Will report back.

My watch on OS4 Beta 2 doesn’t show the bars properly now for Stand but the rings show what I’m at for the day. Just don’t know if I’ve stood for the hour I’m currently in

Yeah I've had the time running but no calories but that seems to have sorted itself after awhile. I'm not getting any stand hours though. Might also sort itself, who knows. Beta 1 was more stable it seems, even battery wasn't that bad on beta 1. Submitted feedback regarding activity and stand hours.

Thanks for the replies. The only noticeable issue with activity that I’m currently dealing with is this stand chart bug. Move and exercise bars are showing, just not stand. Annoying but I can deal with it.
Yesterday the watch was definitely not tracking at all. It wasn’t updating the Activity app at all and I could see that there was no new data being entered into Health from the watch. I managed to get the activity tracking fixed by unpairing the watch again and setting it up as a new device. It seems to be working fine now but I’ll post here again if it stops working to let people know. Hope no one else runs into this!

Still really bummed that you can't choose the music on your iPhone anymore through the Watch. That was one of my most used features.

Also kind of annoying that when I raise my wrist when listening to music it shows what's playing and not the time. Is that a bug persisting from beta 1 or a new feature?

The Toy Story watch faces are a little disappointing, I was expecting some interaction like the Mickey/Minnie ones.
I was hoping for useful faces that adults could use.

Do not install beta 2 if you care about your activity. I completed a 2 hr workout using a third party app, Gymoholic and nothing was tracked.
That happened to me on beta1 also, hopefully it gets fixed quick
