I searched but couldn’t find an answer to my question:

I know the Series 3 with LTE will have a dail pad in the phone app so you can call people not in your contacts or recents, but wondering if the S0-S2 watches will get that feature in Watch OS 4 so we can make calls to anyone while connected to our phone or WiFi.
Yes it does, just tested it.

Still no Maps in Siri data sources for Siri face.

New Heart app features are available.
Where do you activate those? Can't find it in any of the menu options. Specifically, trying to figure out how to make the Watch send resting heart rate info to the Health app.

Thank you for the quick response. I let my developer account expire so wasn’t able to download the GM for Watch OS 4, but am rocking the GM for iOS 11 and I really like it. Looking forward to seeing more of what 4 has in store.

Hmm, my Messages app on my Series 1 with watchOS 4 GM isn’t showing my contact names. I suppose I’ll try a restart, although I was about to start a workout, so this’ll delay it further lol. Anyone else seeing this?

I had this happened sometimes on the previous betas but you can try "Reset Sync Data" on the watch app and hopefully it will fix it. You may have to close the message app on the iWatch and relaunch it.

My S0 takes over a min to start up the activy watch app after a restart but the blinking was back.. for about 20 seconds now. Then back to the no stand reminder state again.

Anyone reported to Apple yet?

Yea I tried this fix too, to no avail. I filed a bug report last night.

downloading as well - I take you this is only available if you've already upgraded to the iOS GM seed as well?
I'm on the GM on my iPhone, but my watch won't give me an option for Watch OS 4? I have the profile installed on my watch also...

Do you have the iOS 11 profile installed on your phone or the WatchOS 4 developer beta profile? Only the latter will get you WatchOS 4

anyone getting a resting HR on an Apple Watch (Series 0)?

thanks

Under the Resting Rate metric in the Health app on the phone, my Series 0 watch doesn't even show up in its Data Sources list. So it's possible this is exclusive to the Series 3, although I don't know if they have improved on the Health sensor on the series 3 to justify this, or if it needs an additional accessory for this to work. Maybe it only works with third party apps.

In the Heartrate app on the Watch, there's a new "Recovery" metric that indicates what the heart rate recovery was after each workout. This shows up after a workout performed, and it's not exclusive to any watch. You just have to perform a workout that logs to the Health app. For me, it shows up after every workout I complete. It seems to calculate the heart rate loss recorded right after the workout and three minutes after.

If you have multiple workouts performed on a single day, the "Recovery" heart rate appears after each workout in the Heartrate app on the watch:

Can you confirm Series 0 resting heart rate? I dont see it.

See my above post. Resting heart rate != Recovery heart rate.

Interesting in that I use the Nike run app, which records to the health data, but don’t see any heart rate recovery on the watch.

In the activity app on the iPhone I see my recovery but for about a minute.

I had the exact same problem on my S2 Apple Watch (updated today from watchOS 3 to watchOS 4 GM).

Here is what i did to solve the problem (at least for now it worked):

1. Turn off the "Remind me to stand"-option in the iOS 11 Watch-App
2. Wait a 60 seconds and turn on the "Remind me to stand"-option
3. Rebooted first the iPhone and then the Apple Watch

After this, booth the reminder and the blinking bar started working again.

Maybe this helps.

I have to correct myself. The above worked for just one hour :-( After that, reminders and blinking bar stopped working again. This happens on all my watches (S0 and S2), so it seems to be a bug.

Edit: What i can confirm (at least on my watch): After rebooting the watch, blinking barks starts working again, but for just one hour as mentioned.

I don't think it would need any special hardware for a resting rate. It's just a number calculated from the HR data. I wonder if it needs more data to calculate it?

Perhaps it needs to take heart rate readings more frequently and there are concerns about battery life as a result. But all of this is speculation.

So, I'll ask again: Does anyone on a Series 0 Watch have a resting heart rate reading? How about a Series 1?
