Don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't get my watch to last longer than 7 hrs before it's dead completely.

watchOS 3 beta 3
If you open the watch app on the iPhone and check the usage, does it have a lot of usage when you are down to 20% or so? Just checking to see if a bad third party app might be constantly talking to the phone. Maybe empty the dock for awhile and see if it helps. Same for complications. Only use Apple ones for awhile. These are just ideas. Some say disable SOS. Others say re-pair the watch.

Thanks, I have re-paired already and have no 3rd party apps in the dock or complications. But I'll pare down the Dock a bit, and try turning off SOS and see how it does.

Does watch os3 improve the issue of trying to stop a workout with sweating fingers? Today on os2 it is so hot here and I am so sweaty.....it took about 30 seconds just to end my outdoor run workout. Frustrating when the buttons could be used. I am not training for the olympics but I would like some what accurate workout times.

I'm not on os3 yet (I'm waiting for full release), but next time, try doing Force Press to bring up the End button. It's a lot better than swiping all the way to the left.

(but, still, when I did this last week, although Force Press worked fine, my fingers were so sweaty that it had trouble registering just the tap for End...)

Yes .. I am on WatchOS Beta 3 and you can now press both the Digital Crown and the former Friends button to pause a workout. You can then press the virtual End button. Works much better. There is also auto pause while using the running workout type, but thus far it seems pretty buggy.

Thanks for the suggestion but I was trying force press. Glad to see below that buttons can pause workout.

There really isn't any press and hold on the screen anymore, to get to end or pause it's a swipe from left to right to bring up a menu, which has an END PAUSE and LOCK to press. So, I think it is both easier and made more difficult.

os2 does it that way, too, but also offers Force Press as a shortcut to pop up End, Pause, and Lock buttons.

If FP has been replaced by pressing the side button and crown together, that's fine.

In os2 when you hit FP it brings up the screen to end, pause, lock. BUT when you are on this screen the timer is still going. When your fingers are sweaty hitting end sometimes takes 15-20 seconds before it registers.

In os3, does hitting the 2 buttons at once actually stop the timer (I hope) or just bring up the end, pause, lock screen?

I'm not sure what you mean by the virtual home button, but if you press both again, and it starts again.

I think he means once it's paused, you can swipe right and press the End button in your own time, basically whenever you don't have sweaty fingers anymore.

You can also pause by simultaneously pressing the Digital Crown and Friends button.

I have been having the issue lately that MESSAGES come through on my watch, but are not replicated on the iphone (running ios 10 dbeta 3), shouldn't the communication to the watch that there is a message on the phone START on the phone?

If the watch and the phone are near each other (and possibly on the same wifi network) then I get the notification and message on the watch - but not on the phone

I had a couple of issues show up this weekend. I started an outside cycling ride and the heart rate stopped along with the mileage but the timer continued. By the time I got done with a very long ride of 3 hours plus it showed I only went 3.99 miles. Needless to say I was going very fast per the watch and I didn't save it. The watch then only showed 300 calories burnt but I decided to reboot and then all the calories expected showed up in the activity section. That was weird issue 1. Weird issue 2 was a random shutdown of the watch. I went to check the time and it wasn't on, that happened Sunday. Weird issue 3 was this morning when I started my "other - strength training" workout, it was stuck and I had to reboot the watch. The button to start was there but the watch would not respond. Now up until this point of Beta 3 I had been really lucky and happy with the watch. Just a weird weekend is what I am thinking. Hoping 4 comes out soon to see if this continues.

Same here - in the process of downloading. It was weird because I had to reinstall the certificate before it would say there was a new update. I did that for the 1st one but for beta 2 and 3 everything went very smooth. From what I am reading about iOS 10 beta 4 I am encouraged about this one for the watch.

Buttons for replying in the Messages app are now blue. (Scribble, emoji, digital touch buttons)
[doublepost=1470077032][/doublepost]Text alerts are wonky. When you receive one, there's a huge gap between the text and the buttons for replying. Then the Dismiss button doesn't work. Pressing it brings you back to your notification center but the text is still there, not dismissed.

Woah -- big change. watchOS 3.0 beta 4 does NOT require a charger when installing updates. I'm currently installing an update while the Watch is strapped to my wrist. No charger.

What are you updating to if you're already on beta 4? Beta 3 prompted me to connect to a charger before it would update to beta 4.

Just seems faster and more fluid than beta 3.
Edit- there is a new option in Scribble after you write a letter to complete the word. You can use the Digital Crown to scroll though the options.

Beta 4 is the newest. I was on beta 3 before. Beta 4 did not prompt me to plug my watch into the charger. It just downloaded, and then started installing.
