Posting a huge meme is called being unoriginal and annoying.

Well since they just acquired beats, I would assume they'd be playing black music. Unless they wasted billions of dollars just to take a couple photos with Dr.Dre (MD)

They hired Dr. Dre to head the Apple ER.

The funny thing is, to people who REALLY know watches, Rolex is akin to Bose to people in the high end home audio world. In other words, a quality product, but overpriced for what it is strictly because of name recognition.

What do people who "really know watches" wear?

No it isn't.
What is the high-end watch you own?
I bought a Patek Philippe Calatrava and a Breguet watch last year.

Many high-end watch owners wear Rolexes as their beaters.

After owning watches from high-end manufacturers, you realize that Rolex offers something that is of course not high end but it has its own place.

The Apple Watch looks better in that orb than it does in promo/press shots.

I was thinking the same thing. Some designs of the watch seems to be classy though I believe the next version will be much better looking .

Pink Floyd. Maurice Ravel. Mussorgsky. Debussy... not a huge multi-racial following among the classical impressionists it seems. Not that it's expressly prohibited in any way, but, along mainstream cultural lines, it's pretty well neglected &/or rejected as being "white people music". ...sadly, so is Jazz these days, when it's anything but.

Sure, but it's to be expected.

Utter ignorant & racist poppycock!!!
You guys would be kicked out of any bbq or block party I've ever attended. Lol, "black music"?, "white music"? Wtf is wrong with you? Are some drinking fountains and barbers just for one race according to you 1950's mentality idiots as well??
For the record- any classical performances I've attended, the crowd is reflective of the area's ethnic makeup. For example, if the area is roughly 25% non-white; so is the audience.

I'm 80% sure I won't be buying an Apple Watch, but every time I see the stainless with the Milanese strap, that number gets squishier. I think that look is stunning.

what exactly is "white-people music"?..and if I say "black-people music" will someone get offend?

JCrz is racist against White people, but will not be censored by the moderators because only White people like me get censored by the moderators for stating the obvious that the true "haters" are the ones who hate Whites.

I hope they announce what white-people music that will come bundled with the watch. Fingers crossed for Nickelback.

You are an anti-White racist and a hater.

I think it's a great design but since I have olive skin I'm leaning toward the rose gold or yellow gold. If that's outside my price range I'll look at the space black.

Quadrupled, and then quadrupled again, I think.

Yeah, people are going to lose their crap when the "Edition" costs $5-10k. It's solid gold people! Rolexes cost several times that. They even created a new kind of gold that is twice as hard. Apple has metallurgists working for them now reinventing gold—and everyone glosses over that like its no big deal. That's what $100B in the bank buys you: better gold. Just think about that for a minute. What pisses me off is I'm not even sure if I'll be able to afford the stainless steel model. I'm not going to plunk down $1000 for a watch that will be outdated in a year. But I don't want it to look like a cheap sports band in the $350 model. My hope is that the bands are interchangeable from year to year and we can easily swap out the body. I refuse to upgrade yearly but maybe every 3 years if I can swap out the body for a lower price.

To be fair, I think Apple is engaged in a bit of puffery about the metallurgy. Most 18kt gold is twice as hard as 24kt gold. I don't doubt that they consulted with metallurgists about the proper alloys, but I don't think they exactly invented Rearden Metal, either.

That said, would I pay $5k for the Edition? Maybe.

Billy Joel is releasing a new album according to BillyJoelRumors. It's supposed to only be available to Apple Watch buyers.

You laugh, but I was at a Billy Joel concert this year. There were lots of late 20- and early 30-somethings there.

Only available you can do this show off in Paris....

Its one thing Apple showing this as a fashion thing, but when you confirm it with everyone going at it for fashion, that tears it....

I'm never going to buy another thing from Apple again

i mean the Mac, iPhone, iPad is all fashion to some extent too, but their not marketed as such.

This is the first product yet to be released that Apple IS doing it, and everyone agrees. Which tells me, Apple has clearly flipped its lid, and going in a different direction.. :p

The ride has been fun, but its time to get off.

I'm really excited to see Apple move into a new market. Who would have thought a few years ago that Apple would move into the higher end fashion jewelry market. Pretty neat to see how this will play out for Apple.

Don't like the move because when design becomes more important than technology we may see a stand still in technological process. Until now Apple managed to balance the two. I'd rather see Apple move in territories like space exploration, household technology and car industry because I think in those branches there is lots of room for technological improvements from which ultimately the consumer can profit from.
