A picture of a brainless model staring at the camera makes me want to go out and get an Apple watch.
Who's the brainless one? She is an actress who, at the age of about 14, played the lead female role in the True Grit remake. If you haven't seen it, you should. She was quite amazing in it.

You personally know the model to make such a statement? Or you think all models are brainless? Or you think pretty women are brainless?

What is brainless is your comment. Try using your own before you post instead of disparaging people you've never met. Truly your comment says more about you than the person you are attacking.

I thought the black would look nicer than it seems to. I am surprised they seem to be focusing on the sport bands in their advertising because to me these bands are by far the least appealing as they really just seem like cheap rubber bands. I am sure they will be the most popular though just due to how they are charging for any of their nice bands

Anyone else starting to feel like these stories are nothing more than advertising?

Apple is able to spare no expense to buy success. Currently able to out spend all other competitors combined nothing will stop Apple's March to the front.

It's simple, they focus on the cheapest because they want mass sales.

I appreciate that Apple isn't taking the approach of saying "you need to spend $800 to be cool...all those fools who can't afford that are just posers."

I honestly am impressed that they're pushing the entry-level models as a real, fashionable choice. I wasn't actually expecting that.

Any one else disappointed Apple watch is just a companion device???
The reviewers are calling it the (Dick Tracy watch). Not really. I'm personally bummed it won't work independently with the Nike + app. I'm sure it will sell like crazy, It would have that gotta get it factor if I could leave my phone home for my runs!!!

You said it all, you know what the target audience it. People with no brain. I am ashamed Apple is pushing a product into that direction.

The Apple Watch is just an accessory and Apple is promoting is as this huge revolutionary thing. The reality is that the Apple Watch is just between a mouse and an Apple TV.

What I noticed is that Apple ran out of breakthroughs with the dead of Steve. What they are doing is taking ordinary elements and enhancing them. A watch, a TV, a car. They are just resizing what they have, they have become like any other corporation, playing safe and calling it "innovation".

It's Apple's job to enhance and sell technology as a mainstream item to regular consumers. On the one hand you have people that say Apple Watch is too complicated and new and confusing. On the other hand we have people like you that say Apple Watch is not innovative or revolutionary enough and that they are just "taking ordinary elements and enhancing them."

And then you have the 20 million buyers of the Apple Watch that say "I'm buying Apple Watch because regular watches are so boring but at least this gives me all the things my phone gives me without having to pull out my phone every 5 minutes and it looks good too." Now no one remembers what the naysayers said because the consumer voices are speaking.

I find it amusing at how much publicity Apple products get from things like TV shows (and movies) and of course magazines and whatnot. But I can't never recall seeing anyone on either my TV or the bigscreen movies with someone using an Android product.

Go figure........ :apple:

You know Macrumors is independent from Apple, right?

Or well, it's supposed to be.

You mean Apple isn't responsible for the hundreds of rumor sites preaching daily to the choir? Well duh! But what is preaching besides blatant advertisement for a cause?

A reverend isn't paid by god, but that's what he's selling, and MacRumors isn't paid by Apple but that's what they're selling.

Anyway, for MacRumors to highlight an advertisement for the Apple Watch is no more an advertisement than spotlighting the latest feature on iOS or showcasing news about a new MacBook. So... I guess I just don't understand what your beef is.

Wow, brainless??? She could very well have a much higher education that you and many others here for all you know. It's amazing how people here will make insulting comments about another human they don't even know.

Anyone else starting to feel like these stories are nothing more than advertising?

Well yeah! Just about everything that gets posted in the front page news is nothing but an advertisement, be it for an iOS game or a Microsoft or Samsung product.

She's an actor, not a model. Both the post and the cover make that clear, leading me to wonder who is actually brainless.

----------

Celebrity? What celebrity? Is that Jennifer Anniston in the magazine picture? I'll bet 95% of the people here don't know who that girl is at first glance.

And if 95% of the people here DID know who it was, she'd never be on the cover. But she's been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, and a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. So basically what you're saying is not that she isn't a celebrity, but that you don't actually follow show business.
