Apple Watch Makes Reality TV Debut on 'The Voice' Judge Pharrell Williams' Wrist

There will probably be other celebrities wearing them on TV this week. Pre-orders start in just a few days.
Pharrell just happened to be the first one we noticed.
He's not the official spokesperson for the Apple Watch.
I think if you looked back 5-10 years ago, things were wacky then too. In fact, you can probably say that every 5 years and be correct. Imagine how wacky we'll think it was 5 years after the zombie apocalypse.
They don't assume everyone will follow this guys lead. They are targeting multiple demographics with their range of watches and in their advertising. This little bit of product placement is just one element of a broad campaign. I think one of the key objectives is simply to get the device accepted by the masses. Many people still see smart watches as nerdy (rightly or wrongly). If they can brake that link, Apple will be on to a winner, as too will many other companies, as the market will explode.

What else goes with fashion better than celebrity? Well, there's coke and heroine, but I don't think Apple wants to go that route.

where in that picture does it say that Apple assumes everyone likes Pharrell. Im sure he's not the only music artist thats been handed an apple watch.
Are you 5?!?! I know everybody has their own opinions but to say his music is awful is just dumb. I'm not a fan of rock and Aerosmith, but i would never go as far to say their music is awful.

Not even funny or clever. The battery will last much longer than 5 hours. And the charger is quite small. Do you get some pleasure out of telling outright lies? If you hate the watch so much, why do you even spend time in threads that discuss it. Show your disdain my pretending it doesn't exist and just go away.
Yeah his music is so awful that it his song Happy got an academy award nomination. Maybe you just don't have an ear for good music.
What does getting nominated and winning awards have to do with good music? Award ceremonies are just popularity contests, nothing more.
Plenty of bad music wins awards, and plenty of good music doesn't win awards.
"Good music" is entirely subjective. Always has been, always will be.

It's called giving indications on a product from a company that he IS interested in. Do you really need someone to explain that to you, or do you just enjoy taking out your frustration on others with a different appraisal to your own?
All this iWatch hype feels incredibly forced and cheesy. I'm sure there is a demographic out there that will respond to it, but wow. RIP Dignity. #$oul

Thanks for posting this, it solidified my decision to go with the 38mm. 5'10 - 160mm wrists

Well Pharrell just posted an Instagram video of him lifting his Apple watch... He has the gold one with Mickey Mouse as the face. Right on!
Sad to see as a fan of Apple or a fan of Pharrell?
If it wasn't for his work with Daft Punk, I would have no idea who he is.
I got to believe that even if the guy does not have an iPhone Apple was all to happy to give him a iPhone and Apple watch bundle free of charge even if he was a die hard fan of a different platform.
12 years ago I had a friend win a pokemon branded Volkswagen beetle and the guy had to drive that car around looking like a total dork. Sadly I would have done the same thing if it meant a free car.

In the first pic of him on TV it seemed like the 38mm in this Instagram clip I swear it looks like the 42mm. I have small wrists and was thinking I needed the 38mm but after printing out actual sized cut outs I will be going with the 42mm. 38 will be too small even for my small wrist.
