Does a Victoria Secret model come with a purchase of an Apple Watch? If so I'll get in line outside the store right now. :D

So other than using it as a $350 to $2000 plus MP3 player and time piece what else can you do with the watch when it's not connected to the phone? Apple has already nixed the heart rate monitor so you can't do that while running.
Eventually you're going to have to connect the watch to keep the apps up to date unless you like old info.
And by me being so important I need to know if my wife or kids call or text me. Maybe I will leave a message on my voicemail explaining that I'm out and about with my Apple Watch without my phone. That should work.

Hyperbole much? What a miserable life. Geez, if you don't like it and don't want it then don't buy it. What's the problem?

The product isn't for you. My wife and I can't wait to buy one. It will be perfect for us.

Is this confirmed, do you have a link with further info? Thx.

Heart Rate Sensor still exists on the watch, as per Apple's website.

http://www.apple.com/watch/health-and-fitness/

Heart Rate Sensor. The custom heart rate sensor in Apple Watch detects your heart rate during workouts. When you’re not in a workout, Apple Watch uses an accelerometer, along with the GPS and Wi‑Fi in your iPhone, to measure all kinds of physical movement, from simply standing up to running to catch the bus.

I have never seen a picture of you, but I'm 100% certain that you are correct.

I personally prefer Doutzen Kroes though. If only for the fact that whenever she is in Amsterdam I regularly see her in my supermarket. We live in the same street.

:D. Well played.

I'm envious you live in such an esteemed neighborhood to have Kroes in your presence. Sure does beat the old coot lobbyists that live near me.

Where do you even see nixed heart monitor while running? The heart rate sensor and accelerometer is on the watch itself and
currently advertised on their web site in the watch info.

--- This is the info about health features on Apple's site, notice there is no mention of the Iphone at all except for the GPS/Wifi combo. Apple's health application runs straight on the watch.

- Heart rate sensor. The custom heart rate sensor in Apple Watch can help gauge your intensity during workouts to improve overall calorie tracking.

- Wi-Fi and GPS. Apple Watch uses the GPS and Wi‑Fi in your iPhone to help measure the distance you travel during the day or during workouts that can’t be measured in steps, such as cycling.

- Accelerometer. The Apple Watch accelerometer measures total body movement, counts your steps and calculates your calories burnedthroughout the day.

So, If you don't want to buy the watch and you don't think its worth it, don't buy it. But, at least stick to the actual facts.

Yet, it can operate on its own. So, not sure what your point is or who are those mysterious irked "people". It doesn't offer all its services on its own, but it certainly does operate all by itself. Unless you think for example that working as a bluetooth Ipod is worth nothing at all?

Pretty sure people that will actually buy it will be well versed in its intricacy even though you might think they're all idiots.

For those irked people. They can buy those super watches that work all by themselves and use it as such. If they work all by themselves, not working with IOS shouldn't be an issue...

You seem to be interpreting that as me saying that the watch, as it is now, is not useful and that everyone who buys it are stupid and should buy something else. You've put a lot of words in my mouth there, and made a completely different argument than what I was even making... like not even close. I'm commenting on the price to functionality value.

Basically with the Apple Watch, you're buying what is essentially a viewport into your iPhone that also happens to have minimal music storage and bluetooth. I can't help but compare it to a beefed up iPod Nano 6th generation with bluetooth and no headphone port. Obviously thats an exaggeration. But Apple Watch literally costs $200 more than that... which is insane. The iPhone is doing almost all the work. But I already paid for that once.

I saw the pict, I just didn't see the iWatch....

You didn't see an "iWatch" of course because it's called "Apple Watch". Please let's not start this again like some did with "iTouch". :p

haha hoho....

More Apple advertising for the bigger people...

I'm not sure with this particular picture it would be considered advertising for Apple. I mean, be honest about it. While the watch is eye-catching would anyone that is not in tune with Apple products even know that was an Apple Watch? Doubtful.

Well soon millions will be wearing them everywhere, and maybe then you'll be more impressed.

Just because millions of people may initially buy and wear these watches doesn't mean they will ultimately succeed in the market. It's not particularly stylish in my opinion and actually looks a bit clunky.

I can see Apple taking away or holding back functionality from the iPhone and adding it to the Apple Watch just to keep it afloat--because there's not much going for it now.

EXACTLY!

And those people who say Apple fans are buying that Apple watch because it's shiny and has an Apple logo are COMPLETELY WRONG. There is no visible Apple logo on the Apple watch, and nothing to tell everyone 'I'm wearing an Apple Watch' - so it's not going to get 'sheep' to buy it because of any of those myths. People buying it actually WANT it.

They wanted me for that "SELF" cover, you know.
But when they wouldn't go for my layout idea of me sprawled-out on a couch,
bloated and satiated after eating 1 1/2 Little Cæsar's sausage pizzas,
a whole Sara Lee blueberry cheesecake & a quart of ice cold milk,
I, unfortunately, had to turn them down due to a scheduling confict.

Oh, yeah: "Interstellar" stinks.

The build quality is different (and specifically made as a watch), the watch does more off the bat (and when third party run on it in the second part of the year, it will do even more) and you're still not forced to buy it. Not sure what else to say but that. The smaller watch is 1/3 smaller than the Ipod nano (non beefed edition).

The pricing is completely in line with all previous Apple pricing (though, their margins here is probably 50-55% rather than 40%.

Exactly! Apple could have made the entire watch apple-shaped, but they resisted it.

She is as pretty and nice in real life as she is in the media. Photoshop has nothing on that girl.
