Is it a definite for the 8th May or could you get yours sooner?

Well, either people are getting theirs and then abandoning us here or there hasn't been much activity today. I'm noticing a decline in posts of people saying they've seen a change to their account on this forum and others. We might get it sooner, but i'm not holding my breathe anymore.

I know it's a bit of a kick in the teeth , but I'm going with the 8th as I was told , and tbh I've not seen any 38mm pink sports shipped anywhere

Does anyone know if some sort of compensation could be claimed if Apple don't provide the Watch by the latest date given? I'm the 8th May...

Doubtful, they are careful not to ever guarantee delivery and typically list the dates as estimated dates just to avoid that. You still have nearly two weeks, it's possible that things will pick up before then.

Seems crazy. Why are you entitled to something because a ship date was missed. Maybe you can get you shipping charges waived. Oh wait there aren't any.

You/all of us here aren't that important. 3000 plus people died in an earth quake over the weekend. Do you think they are entitled to anything?

A good friend who ordered a 42mm space gray Sport and was told his model wouldn't ship for 4 to 6 weeks received a notification last night that his Watch Sport will now arrive tomorrow. My son's 38 mm aluminum Sport with a blue band arrived Friday (but his black band is "still processing").

My 42 mm Watch with a black sport band that I ordered at 2:04 am CDT still shows "processing items" (and my light brown leather loop band likewise is still processing).

We live in Austin.

Apple owe us an explanation why people have had their delivery dates brought forward but 24/4-8/5 are still waiting with not a peep from them.

A few possibilities to contemplate (and I don't know the answer):

Are all of the people who are having their orders accelerated purchasers of a particular model, such as the Sport space gray?

Are there people who are having their orders moved up when there are people who purchased the exact same model before them who are still stuck in the "processing items" limbo?

Could there be some supply problems with certain bands that is impeding deliveries? That seems hard to believe, since the bands are so much less complex (seemingly), but I guess it's possible.

This product has an unprecedented amount of customization for an Apple product in terms of different watch sizes, models, band choices, etc. Could this degree of customization have produced some unexpected complexity to order fulfillment? I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it has.

You should never go into business. You will go broke if you have to have every possible configuration of everything that every customer would possibly want on the very FIRST day of sales.

Your wrong. I study business. I know that stock constraints drive business while saving your own, however my opinion was clearly pointed towards Apple who are able to do so with all stock eventually selling. I'm not saying have 100,000 of each model, I'm merely saying that market research, of which Apple is good at doing, would have given them the stats they need for a next to accurate stock level.

Well I just sifted through all the watches on eBay that are "in hand" that have sold or are for sale and what I've come up with is what we already know. The 42mm SS BSB is pretty much non existent. There were a ton of the Milanese loop black classic buckle and white sport band. The plus side is there are about 4 planes leaving anchorage to Louisville In a few hours. So let's hope there are some 42's with BSB on them.
