Just spoke to a Apple customer rep in what, is now, effectively a daily ritual and it is interesting how their script has changed in the past few days and it is quite clear this is in response to a LOT of irate customers annoyed about not having their watch by now.
Quite clearly she copied and pasted this entire message because it was there instantly whereas all her other short messages took a while to type out:
"I can assure you that it is a first come first served basis however, everyones orders will process a little differently depending on many factors, such as the Watch ordered (type, colour, size), the bank they have their card with, the type of card used to pay with (credit or debit or even finance) etc"
Then when I asked why people who ordered identical watches to me hours after pre-order window opened have already received theirs and I am still waiting despite ordering within minuets, she simply said "that's not something I can talk about".
And to top it all off, her advice to me was "you'll just have to wait"
They were useless before but now they are being useless and belligerent but we are still expected to accept this is just how it is, mighty Apple hasn't messed up at all, right???
Just be honest with us FFS, THIS sort of treatment is doing them no favours in the long run and I say that as an EXTREMELY loyal and self-proclaimed Apple fanboy who has parted with thousands of £££ in the purchase Apple products.
Apple are meant to be better than this, at least that's what I thought......
