Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

You would think Apple would have anticipated selling a lot of black sport bands.
June Shipment Already Preparing for Shipping???
I have two Apple watches on order SS 42mm Link Bracelet
and a 38mm Sport Model with Blue Band.
I ordered these on 04/19/2015 (Which was way later in the preorder window) and i am getting a preparing to ship already???? I was originally given a June date for estimated delivery.
Figured this would give others some excitement as i was really was not expecting to see anything prepare for shipping until May or later.. So looks like I will be getting this one Watch ahead of schedule so far.. So If you are late in the game ordering you may be surprised by this.. i know i was.

They have a surplus of that blue one, thats why its moving fast, they are offering it to DEV's for delivery this week.
I think it has more to do with our choice of watch then it does the venue in which we paid.
That's what i was figuring too, but still surprised.. I was really expecting to be waiting until mid May or beginning of June to see anything. Hope the SS 42 gets a Preparing to Ship notice soon (I know wishful thinking) lol

Good to know. Same boat here. The only difference is I did not get my confirmation email until 3:06 AM Eastern on the 10th, which is also when my order was placed.
I ordered a SG Sport 42MM, live in SoCal, received my order confirmation e-mail at 12:02 AM PST on 4/10 using Apple Pay in the Apple Store app on my iPad. My AMEX was charged this past Monday afternoon at which point my Apple online order status switched to "Preparing for Shipment."

I think that maybe the issue. I have only seen a couple of people who were charged and have had a status change on the 42mm SS Milanese Loop

I find it hilarious to spend twice the money and potentially get it later than everyone else.

Has anyone from Texas more specifically the dallas area received their tracking number? and any idea what service will be delivering it? I ordered mine right when it opened and it changed to preparing for shipment monday around 3.
