Well that isn't really in line with what Apple said themselves- ALL Apple watch models were sold out within SIX HOURS of pre-orders going live (some people who ordered within minuets even saw their model had been sold out and a 4-6 week delivery date). So if someone is set to receive their watch (regardless of model) that ordered a full week after pre-orders going live that means either A) Apple lied about selling out of all models or B) Apple has begun producing models ordered after the 10th pre-order date in lieu of meeting the orders placed on the 10th. This is assuming that it takes a similar amount of time to produce all the watches (leave aside the Edition).

Same for me. As "hopeful" as I am that they will ship sometime soon I don't think it is rational. The 42 SG was obviously the most popular. Which is why they sold out in less than 4 minutes. the only ones that seem to be getting pulled way ahead are the regular aluminum models with the "not-so-sought-after" color bands.
With many people in the first window not being notified of shipment on their 42 SG watches it is unlikely that MANY of the later orders will be pulled ahead. We all knew that when we ordered them, though. If it takes that long then it is exactly as Apple told us. If it is before, all the better.
I think what a lot of people are forgetting is that the earliest window was 4/24-5/8. This means from the date of order (4/10) it was 2-4 weeks out. I'm assuming Apple thought it was better to state the dates than the weeks. Just try to keep it in perspective, guys!
I don't think anyone in the northeast has had a shipment. They'd come out of PA. My bet is they ship tomorrow night.

I ordered a 42 SS classic leather band, and my order changed to preparing for shipment, I have not yet received tracking info, and have tried to use UPS my choice and Fedex to track with my phone # with no luck. Any one in this same situation? Are we to expect delivery on Friday ?

You are correct. I received my confirmation email at 2:06 a.m. (Central) on the preorder date, ordered at 42MM SS BSB and have received not a single thing on it moving at all. I've always been impatient, too, and this is killing me. I can spend almost twice as much as someone who ordered far after me, yet they have a tracking number and I haven't even been charged yet. Really disappointed in Apple for how this is being handled.
Not everyone that has switched to "preparing for shipping" can find their tracking number. I can't which makes me think I'm getting mine through FedEx.
My wife and daughter are in the same boat. They have both been charged and show pending for shipment. On MYUPS.com there is a tracking number that says it is out for delivery to day, but it will not show any information when I click on the tracking number. It has been visible since Monday night (around the same time my wife's watch switched to preparing for shipping)
I ordered the same watch and absolutely no movement. I got confirmation at 2:03 (cst) and ordered at 2:02 (cst). Ordered my dad's classic buckle black after and his was charged on Monday. It has to be by the watch themselves and not order times. Hoping ours just have not arrived yet.

I ordered the Apple sport SG 42MM with black sports band after waking up at 2:55am EST. My email confirmation is for 3:03am, i used the apple store app with apple pay.
I have yet to be charged and the initial authorization dropped off. Still no movement from "Processing Items".

I agree completely, we were given a window through 5/8. Why people are all upset, we aren't getting it on the first wave when we ordered just a few minutes after it was available. But others are getting it before me when they ordered it after me. Apples to Apples folks, they probably didn't order the exact model as you, or more likely a less popular color combination. I'd have been golden right now if I'd ordered a green band with my aluminium cased Watch! but I didn't. So now I have to wait... and unless it slips from 5/8 I won't be upset and threaten to "not buy from Apple ever again"
I think it's got to the point that I am more excited about waiting to see my status change and being charged than actually getting the bloody watch!
You give me hope that many people in our area waiting for the 42 SG Sport are going to start moving forward all at once at some point. Hopefully just waiting on a damn plane to land or something.

If it was the case of ANY other model I wouldn't care, especially when the model I ordered is known the be the most one ordered, limited stock, oh well...
HOWEVER - A LOT of people who have ordered the exact same one I did and ordered it AFTER I ordered it AND live within a few miles from me, are all PREPARING for shipment while mine is still PROCESSING.
That is why I am frustrated, if I ordered one that no one else did and everyone who ordered after me began to ship and mine did not, yes I would feel disappointed but not as frustrated as I am know that people who ordered the EXACT same watch I did after me will probably get it before me. If I knew this was the case I would have slept in an extra 30 minutes and ordered all comfortable instead of being up stalking the site till it went live for a change to buy a launch date delivery.
