38 SS w/black sport band, confirmation email received at 12:03am. Just got the UPS notification, it's being delivered on the 24th. San Francisco Bay Area, coming from UPS' Rialto location.

No email from Apple about anything, if anyone's wondering.

Australian Disappointment Update

Thursday the 23rd in the afternoon in Australia,

So I got that email saying we are working on your order however with no status change or charge to my card. I contacted support and he said it def won't ship tomorrow. He did say that it goes on model + order position not just order position alone. He went on to say that all of the space grey sport watches will be later than other models as they are the most pop.

He confirmed that we will get the confirmed order and tracking number tomorrow for delivery mid to late next week.

So for those Aussies that have space grey it doesn't matter if your ordered on zero hour like me. We picked (cause we r poor) the most popular :apple:watch.

I understand that I am probably not in the best mood right now but, I feel I should say this.

There have been reports that second wave orders are starting to be prepared for shipment and I am not fully understanding this whole release process. It's quite disappointing to see how it's being handled.

There are many conflicting reports about delivery dates and different outcomes. Some people are having money taken and no updates, others are being moved to shipping without having any money taken.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't this seem poor to you? I understand the sheer volume of orders is making it quite difficult but it's not like Apple hasn't been surprised with orders of this size before.

What is the point of pre-ordering if the second wave orders are being fulfilled before the first wave orders that were submitted within the first minutes of availability.

Either way I cannot wait for this product to be in my hands. :D

You all just need to be patient. I work in IT and to handle volume like Apple does, everything works in a separate task/system. Charging works one, emails on the other and order updates on the site on another.

The way apple has set up their system, if you got charged = your shipment is ready whether you got the email or order went out. In some states there are actually laws around charging before a product ships.

If you have not received a confirmation or prepping for shipping, just be patient. I received the iPhone 6+ before I even received the ship confirmation. If you got charged, rest assured you got your watch. If you see the prep for shipping on the site, rest assured you are getting your watch. If you got the email that "we are trying hard to ship your order" rest assured you are getting your watch. I think the email is purely for the people that are really nervous about this, but to cover their butts they put in a date range.

Apple never disappoints, they always exceed shipping dates (part of marketing I think sometimes). I think not only will most people get their's Friday, but people that had the 3-4 weeks will get it the week after or Friday. Take a breath, you will get it Friday

I'm in UK and ordered the 38mm pink sports , order get accepted 8:03 , but nothing for me apart from a email saying we are working on your order # , I have not seen any movement on the pink ones yet ,

I can only assume pink is not as popular and you will get it on time.

Exactly, Whats the point of pre-ordering if EVERYONE does it. I want some kind of priority ability that i could/will gladly pay for Like "RELEASE DAY SHIPPING".

Well another 24 hours gone here in the UK with a April 10th 8.04 confirmation and still nothing!! As others have posted, looks like it wont be coming tomorrow now.

I have also had the emaiil of death!!

I'm in the same boat # , I'm not sure if we will here today or not as in UK you can have next day delivery up to about 5 at night ! So it's not game over for us yet , so fingers crossed #

As another poster mentioned, they wouldn't send that email if you were going to get the watch in 24 hours time so I suspect that's the kiss of death. Unless anyone who is getting the watch tomorrow has also had that email??

Thanks for the tip!

I found by tracking number it says it will be here friday.
Go to ups or fedex and track by reference number and use your email or phone number as the reference number and it should pull up.

Says I have a package weighing in at 2.70 pounds hope that is the apple watch.

Found my info. Looks like due to the way Apple wants this done, nothing goes "live" before Thurs AM for Next-Day Air Shipping via UPS

Great that's a kick in the teeth from Apple if that's the case #

For what it's worth, I think it was an automated email sent to everyone who hasn't got his card charged yet, and is still in processing state, that said, with this being Apple and stuff coming in over the clock, I won't be surprised, if someone gets charged/prep for shipment/ out for delivery within a couple of hours on Friday morning, best way to be positive is to stop checking for it ever so often, will keep your expectations low and get you excited if you end up getting it Friday morning. ;)

And still ready, they will all require signatures. And because of the mass of deliveries, UPS / Fedex will start early.

I know this thread is for watches, but OMG I'm also excited over my Macbook Grey 1.3ghz prepped for shipping too!!! It originally said 3-4 weeks (I ordered within minutes of site going live, the CTO's were already at 3-4 weeks).

This is going to be a good week and probably next as I don't see the MB coming in earlier than that.

What happened to all these "UPS Flights" from Alaska to Kentucky that we're going on? I have yet to see an order confirmation from anyone with their shipment coming out of Kentucky. My iPhone 6 plus shipped from Louisville, Kentucky the day before release. But haven't seen any watch orders coming from there.

Woke up this morning hoping for good news.....

STILL no payment taken....

STILL in processing....

Not looking all too likely i'm getting my 42 SS classic buckle tomorrow :(

Right now I'm switching from despair to full blown rage against Apple, this whole process has been a mess from start to finish, literally never again.

Got that email too (UK, SS 42 mm, classic buckle). No charge, and item STILL processing with a 24/4 - 8/5 delivery window.

It don't look good!

Did anyone else receive this email just now?? What in the world does it mean?

I'm in the Exact same state, come tomorrow, I will be writing an email to apple, about their launch date "delivery window" of effing 2 weeks! I for one wouldn't have gotten up in the middle of the night to get something "withing 2 weeks" from launch.
