Agreed, however I think that many of the people here do realize this. Much of the question that many of us are asking is why there are orders that were first in line in the US for a given combination that are still waiting, while orders that were minutes, hours or days later for the same combination and in the same country (and even in the same city, for some folks) received theirs on the 24th even though they were originally quoted late May or June.
If that is really their question (and I'm not altogether sure it is in many of these instances)--same watch, in the same city, going to someone else rather than them who ordered much later than they did, then they should absolutely call and complain. Flood the Apple phone line with such complaints. Bitching here does nothing. Bitching to Apple might get changes and in a hurry.

Any one with updated times for the "Apple Watch 42mm Space Black Stainless Steel Case with Space Black Link Bracelet" ? I ordered at 3:02AM EST and got a June shipping date.

3:08AM EST for me, same deal.

I ordered my daughter a 42mm Sport w/ white band at the same time, which came on launch day.

I think either they thought very few people would order that model, or they had production problems because it is more difficult to make than the others. Perhaps both. Either way, I have a strong suspicion that there aren't currently any of that model in the US.

My 38mm SG Sports with Black Band was to arrive 5-13 to 5-28 but will now be here tomorrow on the 28th! Thanks Apple! Woohooo!

----------

My 38mm SG is coming Tuesday! Hope the 42mm start shipping as well.

Can I ask what time your confirmation email came in and your location? I ordered the same model and I have nothing.

----------

I didn't order my 38 mm space gray/black band until the 12th, and my status updated this morning from "June" to May 21 - June 4.

Seems reasonable considering that I didn't get into the first group of early pre-orders.

You could get even luckier. My buddy ordered his 38mm Space Grey on the 11th and was told June. He ended up getting on friday.

----------

What pisses me off the most is I placed my order 3 mins after pre-order started (3am EST) couldn't get in till 3:03am. Placed my order 10 seconds later. And it was already saying 5/12 - 5/27!!!! WTF Apple did you make like ten watches and said "screw it. Lets see how many people order?!?!?!!"

NOW I'm seeing people who ordered HOURS after I did RECEIVING their deliveries OR improved delivery expectations......WTF!!?!?!?!? I'm stuck in Processing hell.

This is my first time pre-ordering something from Apple and this is the worst experience I have ever had to deal with wanting to buy something.

Apple Watch Sports 38mm
Black Sports Band

I am in the same friggin boat.

Within 15 minutes of being able to order =6 weeks

EBBM (Everybody but me) -order for 42mm space grey with sports band approved at 3:16 AM Friday April 10 - since day one the delivery date has been May 13-27.
So that means within 15 minutes from when you could first order the item, delivery date shifted to 5 to 6 weeks.
There is something just not right about that.
15 minutes = 6 weeks?

Some of the bands will always be supply constrained, because of the leather. There are only so many cows for the modern and classic buckles.

"A small French tannery established in 1803 produces the supple Granada leather"

You just made coffee shoot out of my nose.

I can't tell if that is sarcasm, but I hope so. The small tannery is rumored to be the same one owned by Tag Heuer, a ridiculously large conglomerate that would brand your feet if you weren't moving, and far from small. Pretty sure they march the cows in like a neverending line while supple watch bands shoot out the back into a large truck.

Ordered a 38mm space grey sport. Confirmation email at 12:05 AM Pacific. Delivery originally estimated to be 5/13-5/27. It has now shipped and is scheduled to arrive Tuesday 4/28.

Damn I ordered the same model and got my confirmation at 3:04 am Eastern time and I am still at the may 13-may 27 date. :(

I understand the frustrations from many, however this is really the first fully BTO/customizable product from Apple with a focus on individual fashion preferences. Apple can't predict what the general consumer will order. It would be a bad business decision for the company to produce watches on a gamble in order to possibly beat shipment times.

Yes, it's frustrating and I'm very objective in these matters. I would give Apple the benefit of the doubt. It's Cooks' first new product launch that also has an emphasis on personal tastes. Give it time, a little patience, orders will arrive. In the end, this is a first world problem, life is too short to complain about. :)

I agree - to a point. It can be somewhat difficult to predict demand of a brand new product. However, it is now very clear that they didn't have any of the stainless with link bracelet models in stock at launch. None.

From a business standpoint, that makes zero sense. My guess is that something went wrong during the production of that model that put them behind schedule. They are way too smart to do that on purpose.

Oh, and of course it is a first world problem. But, I live in a first world country, so what did you expect?

Now eat your lima beans - there are people starving in Ethiopia!

Yeah, I never understood that either.

I don't know about the 42mm, but I ordered the 38mm Stainless Steel Space Black last Thursday 23rd with an estimate of "June". Now it's been updated to May 19th-26th; so, maybe only the larger model is constrained.

Same model here. Ordered ASAP, Confirmation email at :02 here and I'm getting estimated delivery of 12MAY to 25MAY.

Still Waiting ...

I ordered a 42mm SS black classic band .. Emailed Tim Cook and got back a reply from the online support. She was very nice and apologized for the issue and said that she would keep an eye my order and contact me if there was any changes in my status May 13 -27 .. I've talked to her twice since and she still offers no update even though she alludes to possible better/sooner delivery date.
Soooo bottom line ordered the morning of the 10th and still waiting

The sole idea that this could be true is disgusting, but based on facts seems to be shamefully true.

Unfortunately you ordered one of the most popular models and one of the lowest stocked models...
Not sure why 'Apple dropped the ball on this one'
What shipping estimate were you given BEFORE you checked out?

When I ordered I looked at the shipping estimates and changed some of my selections, so that I received two on launch day and will get two sometime in May.
The end of the first wave shipment window, (May 8th) hasn't even come yet so Apple haven't missed any of their shipment estimates YET.

The obvious model to have built stock on was a Black banded, Sport aluminum model and that don't ever offer it.
Apart from twenty-something tech world idiots, who is going to drop that much money on a watch with some fruity colored band? Would you wear lime green to a job interview or a business meeting?

From what I read here that does seem to be the case. It should be simple, if user A and user B are in the US (regardless of where in the US, we have Fedex and UPS and other shipping carriers here that can deliver the same or next day, this is not a third world country) and they both ordered the same product at the same time then they both should receive the product around the same time. It should not be user A gets its a week before and user B gets it a week later. That does seem to be happening to quite a few people. I myself ordered a few minutes after the gates opened as soon as the order page came up and I got a delay shipping date of 5/13 - 5/27 which has been processing with no changes since day one.

I suggest to those who don't want to call use the Apple feedback page, pick watch and include your order number in your short message to them.

42mm Space Grey Aluminium Case with Black Sport Band

Processing Items Available to ship: 4-6 weeks
Delivers: 27/05/2015 - 10/06/2015 by Standard Shipping

I ordered in the first 10 minutes and I still have to wait one month.

You and around 300,000 to 500,000 others around the world ordered that model, how dare they even let the factory workers sleep until we get our shiny things ....

Watch mania

Wow, so many are up in arms over the delivery of an electronic device. I ordered 3, they will get here when they get here and life goes on.

Seriously the only reason I bought the watch was I wanted to makes calls like Dick Tracey. So in reality I have been waiting over 50 years for my watch to arrive. lol

Hi Mike,

I live in WI. I ordered my Apple Watch Sport Black Band around 2:40 Central Time on the Preorder Launch. I went from June to May 29-June 11 for estimated shipping yesterday. I am thinking I will receive it sooner than expected. What are your thoughts? I believe you stated you are from WI as well? I know Apple is far fetching their Arrival dates, in order to not disappoint the consumer. I'm hoping for a mid May delivery. Thanks.

I did just get off with Apple and she clearly didnt want to make me feel good As she said that she didnt see it moving up anymore at this time sadface.

You will most likely get it before than TBH.

taking 9 man-hours and taking 9 actual hours are not the same thing. a factory can churn out the parts to make that band in a matter of linear minutes.

http://store.apple.com/us/product/MJ5J2ZM/A/42mm-link-bracelet
"The machining process is so precise, it takes nearly nine hours to cut the links for a single strap." - Later the links are brushed by hand.

Obviously these are not being made one at a time but my statement stands, for every person who orders one of these, it took around 9 hours to make.

Is Johnny polishing them by hand himself ;)

I appreciate the craftsmanship and everything but I find it unusual that they did not have any link bracelets ready to ship day 1...

I know this will be worth waiting for and its going to be an amazing watch but hurry up please ;)
