Ummmm, you're lucky. Yours is shipping a month before mine![]()
I guess with that logic we are luckier than most people who could afford to even preorder one. lol.

If that is really their question (and I'm not altogether sure it is in many of these instances)--same watch, in the same city, going to someone else rather than them who ordered much later than they did, then they should absolutely call and complain. Flood the Apple phone line with such complaints. Bitching here does nothing. Bitching to Apple might get changes and in a hurry.Agreed, however I think that many of the people here do realize this. Much of the question that many of us are asking is why there are orders that were first in line in the US for a given combination that are still waiting, while orders that were minutes, hours or days later for the same combination and in the same country (and even in the same city, for some folks) received theirs on the 24th even though they were originally quoted late May or June.
Any one with updated times for the "Apple Watch 42mm Space Black Stainless Steel Case with Space Black Link Bracelet" ? I ordered at 3:02AM EST and got a June shipping date.
My 38mm SG Sports with Black Band was to arrive 5-13 to 5-28 but will now be here tomorrow on the 28th! Thanks Apple! Woohooo!
----------
My 38mm SG is coming Tuesday! Hope the 42mm start shipping as well.
I didn't order my 38 mm space gray/black band until the 12th, and my status updated this morning from "June" to May 21 - June 4.
Seems reasonable considering that I didn't get into the first group of early pre-orders.
What pisses me off the most is I placed my order 3 mins after pre-order started (3am EST) couldn't get in till 3:03am. Placed my order 10 seconds later. And it was already saying 5/12 - 5/27!!!! WTF Apple did you make like ten watches and said "screw it. Lets see how many people order?!?!?!!"
NOW I'm seeing people who ordered HOURS after I did RECEIVING their deliveries OR improved delivery expectations......WTF!!?!?!?!? I'm stuck in Processing hell.
This is my first time pre-ordering something from Apple and this is the worst experience I have ever had to deal with wanting to buy something.

Some of the bands will always be supply constrained, because of the leather. There are only so many cows for the modern and classic buckles.

Ordered a 38mm space grey sport. Confirmation email at 12:05 AM Pacific. Delivery originally estimated to be 5/13-5/27. It has now shipped and is scheduled to arrive Tuesday 4/28.
I understand the frustrations from many, however this is really the first fully BTO/customizable product from Apple with a focus on individual fashion preferences. Apple can't predict what the general consumer will order. It would be a bad business decision for the company to produce watches on a gamble in order to possibly beat shipment times.
Yes, it's frustrating and I'm very objective in these matters. I would give Apple the benefit of the doubt. It's Cooks' first new product launch that also has an emphasis on personal tastes. Give it time, a little patience, orders will arrive. In the end, this is a first world problem, life is too short to complain about.![]()

3:08AM EST for me, same deal.
I think either they thought very few people would order that model, or they had production problems because it is more difficult to make than the others. Perhaps both. Either way, I have a strong suspicion that there aren't currently any of that model in the US.

I agree - to a point. It can be somewhat difficult to predict demand of a brand new product. However, it is now very clear that they didn't have any of the stainless with link bracelet models in stock at launch. None.
From a business standpoint, that makes zero sense. My guess is that something went wrong during the production of that model that put them behind schedule.
Ordered at 3;01 am ET on 4/10 and still got delivery dates 4-6 weeks.
Unfortunately you ordered one of the most popular models and one of the lowest stocked models...
Not sure why 'Apple dropped the ball on this one'
What shipping estimate were you given BEFORE you checked out?
When I ordered I looked at the shipping estimates and changed some of my selections, so that I received two on launch day and will get two sometime in May.
The end of the first wave shipment window, (May 8th) hasn't even come yet so Apple haven't missed any of their shipment estimates YET.
From what I read here that does seem to be the case. It should be simple, if user A and user B are in the US (regardless of where in the US, we have Fedex and UPS and other shipping carriers here that can deliver the same or next day, this is not a third world country) and they both ordered the same product at the same time then they both should receive the product around the same time. It should not be user A gets its a week before and user B gets it a week later. That does seem to be happening to quite a few people. I myself ordered a few minutes after the gates opened as soon as the order page came up and I got a delay shipping date of 5/13 - 5/27 which has been processing with no changes since day one.If that is really their question (and I'm not altogether sure it is in many of these instances)--same watch, in the same city, going to someone else rather than them who ordered much later than they did, then they should absolutely call and complain. I suggest to those who don't want to call use the Apple feedback page, pick watch and include your order number in your short message to them.

Hi Mike,
I live in WI. I ordered my Apple Watch Sport Black Band around 2:40 Central Time on the Preorder Launch. I went from June to May 29-June 11 for estimated shipping yesterday. I am thinking I will receive it sooner than expected. What are your thoughts? I believe you stated you are from WI as well? I know Apple is far fetching their Arrival dates, in order to not disappoint the consumer. I'm hoping for a mid May delivery. Thanks.
EBBM (Everybody but me) -order for 42mm space grey with sports band approved at 3:16 AM Friday April 10 - since day one the delivery date has been May 13-27.
So that means within 15 minutes from when you could first order the item, delivery date shifted to 5 to 6 weeks.
There is something just not right about that.
15 minutes = 6 weeks?

taking 9 man-hours and taking 9 actual hours are not the same thing. a factory can churn out the parts to make that band in a matter of linear minutes.

"The machining process is so precise, it takes nearly nine hours to cut the links for a single strap." - Later the links are brushed by hand.
Obviously these are not being made one at a time but my statement stands, for every person who orders one of these, it took around 9 hours to make.
