My Space Grey Sport (ordered at xx:03) finally changed to "Preparing for Shipment," but it still says "Available to ship: 4-6 weeks."

It'll get here, I guess.

Hope that means that my 38mm SS Milanese ordered on the 10th comes earlier. My original delivery is May 13-27 and hasn't changed...

Still processing...

It's a ripoff from apple. It almost seems like they're collecting orders and producing one model and size per shift
They were not ready for large scale production and are just starting to ramp up. I hope they didn't want to wait if it was a success or not before commiting to factory capacity, in that case someone should be fired.
Our watches will be produced nearly at the same time but you've waiting for two weeks.

I understand the frustrations from many, however this is really the first fully BTO/customizable product from Apple with a focus on individual fashion preferences. Apple can't predict what the general consumer will order. It would be a bad business decision for the company to produce watches on a gamble in order to possibly beat shipment times.

Yes, it's frustrating and I'm very objective in these matters. I would give Apple the benefit of the doubt. It's Cooks' first new product launch that also has an emphasis on personal tastes. Give it time, a little patience, orders will arrive. In the end, this is a first world problem, life is too short to complain about. :)

It's because Tim already said Early 2015. The Watch clearly wasn't ready, and it's no coincidence that the watch was finally released within the final week of what is considered "Early 2015". He would have been better off saying "Spring 2015"

Exactly!

I ordered the 38mm Space Grey BSB at 3:02am with a confirmation email at 3:04am. Via the apple store app and apple pay.

Shipping is 4-6 weeks ( 5/13 - 5/27)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

I know I should't worry, but it freaks me out that others who ordered after me on the same watch setup are getting theres and mine is still processing.

The last time I purchased something from apple it never shipped. I ordered one of those mini drones for my nephew and even though they were in stock their system put my order on hold and said it would ship in October.... it never did. I had to cancel my order and reorder it. once that was done I got it in 3 days.

What pisses me off even more is that my friend who ordered his and his wife's from the store here in Pittsburgh was originally said ships in June. He already received his 38 and 42 mm space grey sports on Friday. So this whole "goes in the order they were received" is WAY OFF.

I ordered a 38mm Apple Watch Sport with the White Band last night (April 26th) and it currently says "Preparing for Shipment" with Delivery date of "21 May - 4 Jun". Hoping it comes sooner!

No change on my Space Gray sport watch with black band. :-( Still says May 13-27. Would LOVE to get it earlier

With the bad reviews coming in i think they are scrambling to move inventory.... I wonder how many orders have been canceled already

I pre-ordered the 42mm space grey sport with black band and just received the notification from Apple an hour ago that my order should arrive within 4-6 weeks (the app updates with this information over night but the email just came). Has anyone else been getting these updates and then seeing their order speed up shortly after, or have these occurrences been random across what has been seen so far?

Thanks.

I never ordered one online and I went through my business rep instead. Was originally told they would try it out to release day, but that obviously is past. Now they are unsure of the dates. I probably should have just ordered it online when I had the chance; it was was 3 pm in the afternoon for me, so it wasn't a matter of staying up. The main issue was I was catching a flight back to San Francisco, of all places, at that time. I wanted the Stainless Steel in Space Black (that's the one with the black link) with an additional black sports band.

Today I was told they are "finalizing" orders from my business rep, so perhaps I'll get mine sooner than later.

That model is the same one I ordered at 3:01 4/10. Apple had said specifically that that model would be release in 4-6 weeks , so earliest delivery would be May 13.

Anyone with 42MM SS Milanese that had a June date getting any improvements?

Also, has anyone who pre-ordered the day after availability (April 11) seeing any shipping improvements?

Please give me hope.

I ordered my 42mm SS Milanese 8 minutes after pre-orders began, and I still have not seen any movements. No bank charge, and in processing status with 4/24 - 5/8 delivery date. I thought for sure I'd see something over the weekend, but no such luck. I guess the initial letdown of not having it on launch day is passed, but it's still a disappointment. Good luck to you.

Man I can't believe my $399 watch is on eBay for $1300.00. There are several of them. Why will people pay tipple the price??? They have to have it that fast?

42MM Stainless Steel with Milanese Loop...CC finally charged and status moved to Preparing for Shipping. Hopefully I will get it tomorrow.

Still pissed I didn't get it on launch day.

Order confirmed 2:07AM CST on 4/10
Location: Bolingbrook, IL

Awesome, my order conf email came out at 2:08AM CST for the same watch, maybe there is some hope I'll get it this week yet.

I ordered my wife's 38mm Stainless / White Sports Band as soon as the store opened at midnight, and she got hers on launch day.

Mine is 42mm Stainless / Black Leather Loop. Ordered a few minutes later and is showing delivery 4-6 weeks, or mid May.

Having had a good chance to see my wife's Watch over the weekend, I'd say I am impressed with the look, build quality, and functionality. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it's pretty cool. Perhaps better than I expected.

Anyone who claims it is over-priced is being ridiculous. Plain and simple. This device is exceptionally well made, with incredible attention to detail. From the packaging to the case design.

We were able to use Apple Pay in the Apple Store and Home Depot, which works even quicker than the phone. For a woman who normally keeps her phone in her purse, simply double clicking the button and holding the watch over the reader is really seamless. No rummaging for a phone, unlocking it, going to the app and using Apple Pay.

Battery life has not been an issue at all, even with the novelty of using it more than after the novelty has worn off.

Liking the fitness stuff too.

Considering this is version 1.0, it's already pretty good. Give them some time to update to OS 2.0 and continue to improve the app offerings, I'd say this is certainly a winner.

Looking forward to mine arriving in the mail!:apple:

Ordered 42mm SS WSB at 5:23am CDT on 4/10. Quoted 4-6 weeks and May 13-27 delivery. Card was charged Friday morning and shipped Friday night from PA. On UPS truck for delivery right now. There is hope!

The artificial shortage reports are bollocks.
I ordered 12:02am PST 4/10.
My watch was made on 4/15-16*
It arrived on 4/24.
42mm SS with Classic Buckle to Aus.

Being one of the first to order you'd think they would send me the earliest produced stock. Exactly.

*The activity app in my iPhone shows that someone took 31 steps with my watch on 4/16. And reports on the serial number say it was made that same week - week 16 of 2015.

Interesting. Heard a few other people who got them on launch day say the same thing.

Sounds like Apple didn't even start manufacturing until right around the time pre-orders went up.

The 38mm Apple Watch Sport that I ordered last night has shipped! Now says "Shipped on April 27". I'll admit I'm a little surprised.

looks like everyone pre-ordered the same edition for the 42mm SS. I've been checking on the daily and nothing has changed. Processing Item and available to ship: June. I ordered it the day after it was able to pre-order. Seem like do to the large amount buying this edition, we will not see any changing from the dates in several weeks. I will be amazed if someone sees a big change for the 42mm Milanese loop delivery dates.

This is my first time pre-ordering something from Apple and this is the worst experience I have ever had to deal with wanting to buy something.
Call them and tell them that. They have to learn from their mistakes and clearly, there were mistakes made with this launch.

Hope that means that my 38mm SS Milanese ordered on the 10th comes earlier. My original delivery is May 13-27 and hasn't changed...

Still processing...

The 38mm SS milanese I ordered for my wife came today. Ordered on the 10th, about 50 minutes after the store opened. My own 42 SS with SSLB is still pending, with 4-6 wks estimate. So there's the cosmic irony...the watch I ordered for my wife, so she wouldn't give me crap about the one I got for myself, came early and mine is in limbo land.

42mm Space Grey Aluminium Case with Black Sport Band

Processing Items Available to ship: 4-6 weeks
Delivers: 27/05/2015 - 10/06/2015 by Standard Shipping

I ordered in the first 10 minutes and I still have to wait one month.

I share everyone's frustration...however....

We really need to keep in mind that this was a global operation before getting overly furious about how early we ordered our watch and "why am I not getting it first, first, first?"

Think: At the same moment you were tapping that "buy!' button, there were thousands of Australians pushing it. Thousands of people in every state in the U.S. and Canada. Europeans, Asians. Etc. They were all pushing that "buy!" button, too. We tend to think of ourselves as waiting in a single line. And if we pushed that button the moment the store opened up, then we were first in line. Right? But really, the situation is that there are waiting lines radiating out from every place on the globe where Apple offered the watch for sale. This means that you are in line at the exact same spot as all the others around the world who pushed that "Buy" button at the same time as you.

How much of the stock—the whole stock of watches—was allocated to each country? Maybe there were enough SS 42 watches for everyone n the U.S, but after splitting it between all those countries they became very rare. Some of those first-in-line folk in Australia got them, some in China., etc. End result: those who were first-in-line #999 in the U.S. instead of first-in-line #5 didn't get their SS 42. Even though, yes, they punched their buy button the moment the Apple store opened at 3am or whatever ungodly hour order time was for them.

Meanwhile, there are stocks of less popular watches that are still abundant and can be sent out to whomever orders them, including those who pushed the button hours or days after those "firsts."

So, although I heartily share your frustration on how this launch was done and the unsatisfying results, I think we have to put it into perspective. You may have pushed that button at the exact second the Apple store opened. But so did a lot of people. You are not, necessarily, being slighted. There's just only so many watches that can go to every first-in-line in all those countries.

With the bad reviews coming in i think they are scrambling to move inventory.... I wonder how many orders have been canceled already

Bad reviews? I've been wearing mine for 4 days, and it's surprisingly useful. It's basically a watch + a bunch of other stuff. It's fun, actually.

That said, there are weird lags when you launch a watch app that are frustrating. I mean, the yelp app is already running on the phone, so why is there a spinner on my watch? Pulling glance data can lag a bit.

But overall, it's a nice watch. Most importantly my wife loves it and I always hear her calls, since I get the call notification on my wrist. So that's a plus.

Agreed, however I think that many of the people here do realize this. Much of the question that many of us are asking is why there are orders that were first in line in the US for a given combination that are still waiting, while orders that were minutes, hours or days later for the same combination and in the same country (and even in the same city, for some folks) received theirs on the 24th even though they were originally quoted late May or June.

That is really the big question that I think most people here are trying to get answers to.
