Apple Watch Pre-Orders Now Shipping for April 24 Delivery

While I'm patient, I am a bit disappointed I won't be getting my watch tomorrow. Granted, Apple did indicate a launch window ship date, and logically it makes sense that watches with the cheaper bands were produced in higher quantity then say, the milanese and stainless steel bands.

So, I'll grit my teeth while I sit here "patiently."

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones! 42 mm SS Milanese with email confirmation at 3:04am. Delivery via UPS to NJ tomorrow.

Only got the black version in order to get it early (and I got through within a minute of the preorders opening), and now I'm getting my watch later than my friend who ordered a sport two days after preorders started and had already received his tracking number for tomorrow.

This sucks.

Happy for you but also frustrated with the whole process. My confirmation was :03 for the exact same order. Still processing.

So it doesn't look like it was truly "in the order in which it was received."
 
I ordered within one minute, received order confirmation at T+02, got shipping info this morning.

If you haven't been charged, you'll probably receive it close to 05/08

Mine (or my wife's rather) still says preparing for shipment, but searching UPS by phone number the label was created today with next day air. I live in Montana btw. Oh and I had to search by my billing phone number, not my shipping phone number.

Edit: and now it says tomorrow is the scheduled delivery.

From what i read her there isnt a single person that ordered a Space Grey 42mm black sport band on april 10 in the first 5min that will be delivered on the 24th ... so no matters what was said on the confirmation mail or when we place the order one information was false since the beginning : WATCH AVAILABLE 04.24.2015 ... for this particular model that s false advertisement .... i wish a class action lawyer would be willing to sue their ass !!! to me this is the worst apple product launch ever !!!

Check UPS My choice!!!

I got a preparing for shipment yesterday, but I haven't gotten a shipping notification yet:/ but I checked my UPS my choice account and it says that the its coming tomorrow! Apple is using UPS next day air to get it to us tomorrow!!!!:D

UPS & FedEx Delivery

When I had my retina MacBook ordered it shipped via FedEx. Apple would not offer a sign release form for the laptop, and FedEx told me they required a signature on delivery and I could not sign a random sheet of paper. I then decided to try it, leaving a note on my door authorizing FedEx to leave it at the door and signed the piece of paper. Much to my surprise the FedEx courier left it at my door.

For my Apple Watch (shipped via UPS) I decided to have it picked up at my UPS location near me. I took the day off work so I will be picking it up right at 9:00am so I can play with my new toy.

Yeah, when someone with a 4-6 week delivery time gets theirs before someone with the exact same watch that had a 4/24-5/8 delivery estimate email, I don't think they are adhering to the "First come, first serve" they are claiming.
 
La la la, reading more reasons on possibly why my watch isn't gonna be here tomorrow when... BAM, sad reminder of lies right in the face. Oh well, next week!

Quintessence of disappointment

I have never been this disappointed in my whole life and trust me that is saying a lot. I understand that it's just a watch but I work so hard every day and was looking forward to having my watch Friday. I took the day off so I don't miss the ups/fedex guy and now it's all for nothing. I woke up and ordered at 12:02am got conformation e-mail at 12:03am and people that ordered 3 days later are getting their watches because they chose a different mor complex band. As I said quintessence of disappointment.

There is pretty much no logic to the whole process. I was in an Apple Store today to try the Watch, and one of the employees was saying that he ordered his watch as soon as the pre-order opened , and he is still scheduled for May, while one his friends ordered it just 3 days ago, and he is getting it delivered tomorrow !

Go figure...

I completely agree and am hopeful, but not seeing encouraging signs. Will wait to see at 5:00 tonight if a bunch of people report credit card charges etc. Hoping the watches are being queued somewhere and will scan and ship as you state.
 
I don't think they have even made the pink sport yet. Haven't heard of a single person yet who has had any movement. Why offer or tell people available 4/24-5/8 if no one can get it on 4/24? That seems misleading....they could have put like 4/28-5/8. They had to have known they had ZERO watches made. And the part that makes me the most frustrated is that they could have contacted all the people who ordered and got the 4/24-5/8 time frame and asked them if they wanted to switch to one of the colors that they are now sending to people who ordered with the May and June time frames. I would have gladly switched as I'm sure many others would have.

Just communication in general would have been nice instead of some automated email that was sent out to everyone. I hate feeling let down because I believed that ordering at 3:03am EST time and thought for sure I would be included in the first wave. Yes for all of you that are going to get on here and respond and say "it's a RANGE" they didn't lie, they didn't do this and that, it's based on first come first serve, it's based on the watch you ordered, don't worry about what other people are doing and getting....yeah whatever I've heard it before and you are probably one of the ones getting it tomorrow. So congrats! I actually am happy for you but try to see it from the other side and feeling let down because of how it is appearing. It seems Apple is serving people after me (and many others). I know it will come eventually but it doesn't mean we aren't a little disappointed that people with the delivery range after ours are getting there's tomorrow. A lot of us probably would have taken that watch gladly and switched out the band later!

So anyway congrats to all of you who are receiving it tomorrow! Hang in there everyone who isn't...I'm right there with you. :(

Mine shipped assuming you are referring to the aluminum SG model and not the black SS.

Thanks – I had tried the reference number method a few times and wasn't finding any tracking info so I thought maybe they were sharing the shipping love across companies. But just checked UPS again and it looks like my label has been created. :)

I am not worried though, with a little digging and research with like stories, I feel confident that if we have this message and we ordered to get in the 4/24 - 5/8 window, we will get it on the 24th...unless you are in an area will slow deliveries.

If it changes today I will let you know. My guess is that we will see the notifications around 11am our time.

My Apple Store account still shows preparing for shipment. But I received a text notification from UPS today saying that it will be delivered tomorrow between 2:45 PM and 6:30 PM. Seattle here too.

I wonder if they somehow forgot to make 42 SS BSB. I've yet to see a single confirmation of a status change from anyone on this model.

Sounds like it went into a lottery system (unless your friend who ordered it, ordered it as a developer)....
