Ordered 42 ss black sport band. Confirmation 3 min after it went live. No change, just preparing. I am holding out hope that these are stateside and will change at the last minute, but those hopes are diminishing.

I also did not receive the email of death, so maybe there is hope. Or maybe no email means may5th.

I realize the scope of this launch, but they have done this year after year. Not the end of the world, but if Angela enjoys big store based product launches, maybe she should go back to those asap. It has always been if you managed to get an online order in within the first 30min, you were in on launch day- which everyone here must agree is a big part of the fun as an Apple fan.

As a stockholder, I hope they learn from this experiment.

Same here. 42mm SS BSB, South Florida. Confirmation :03. No e-mail, no change in status.

I'm sure there are lots of lessons to be learned (such as don't promise a product in "early 2015" in September 2014 if you can't deliver), but I'm not sure why Angela Ahrendts is taking the brunt of the criticism. Most of the screw ups lie with supply chain management.

If you are Angela Ahrendts, you are dealing with overwhelming demand over the most diverse product lineup in Apple's history, and a shaky supply chain. Whatever you do, you will be criticized for it. If you cut off pre-orders and force everyone to join lines at the stores, you'll be criticized for not having pre-orders for a product that was announced 7 months ago. You'll also be criticized when the initial supply runs out in hours or even minutes, and when only the "wrong" combinations are available in order (e.g. you ordered a bunch of regular aluminum watches and everyone wanted the space gray). If you try online-only, as Apple essentially did, you'll upset those who woke up early and are getting their orders later because they ordered the models you didn't produce enough of beforehand. Apple actually tried to accommodate with the try-on appointments. People complained because the appointments started after the pre-orders mostly sold out. But if the appointments started a few days before, people would have complained that they couldn't order the product even though they just tried it on.

Anyone with a 42mm Stainless Steel with Leather Loop band (Black or Blue) have their watch ship yet ?? Doesn't seem to have been as many Leather Loops as other bands ordered yet I don't think I've seen a single one shipped either.

Checked UPS and saw my package tracking info. 38mm SS milanese. I'm in San Diego, CA. Looks like it was updated at 1:45am Pacific.

38mm space grey, got screwed by Apple big time too

apparently only us who ordered the 38mm space grey are being punished for some reason, not one unit has even charged in the USA yet, and don't give me that delivery window crap either.

The delivery window should be for people who ordered a tiny bit later get theirs a tiny bit later. It SHOULDN'T BE that people who ordered one model get screwed while everyone else gets at least some shipped out. Way to go Apple, you really pissed off everyone who loyally got up and ordered at 3am. Man, this company is really losing its way since Jobs died.

So let's say there was a production issue that held up the space gray. Are you really saying Apple should hold up all of the other orders that are ready just so that those who ordered the space gray get them at the same time?

As for Steve Jobs, it's not like he ever announced a white iPhone in July of one year that didn't get shipped until February of the next year, or anything like that. /s In any case, I thought Steve Jobs would never had allowed this product to be released at all.

I woke up to this message. I live in Ohio and it is on the way from Harrisburg, PA for delivery tomorrow.

I ordered a 42mm Blue Sports Watch.

Good Luck All

Did those who are receiving this new message from Apple, pay for expedited shipping or just standard?

The 42mm steel model with black sport band is completely screwed up.

I would have ordered a Milanese band version if I knew they are shipping those earlier than the black sport band version despite what they listed. Only got the black version in order to get it early (and I got through within a minute of the preorders opening), and now I'm getting my watch later than my friend who ordered a sport two days after preorders started and had already received his tracking number for tomorrow.

This sucks.

Hopefully they ship you a little perspective along with your watch.

Ordered a 38mm Sports with blue band and a 38mm Space Grey Sports with black band, both at approx. 12:03 a.m. The blue says preparing for shipping, the space grey still says processing. Used Apple Pay. Standard shipping. In Phoenix. Haven't received the "death email" but haven't received this new "your order shipped" email either, no tracking or updates on either.

I also ordered a 42mm Sport Space Gray and I'm getting it tomorrow... I ordered at 3:01 AM EST using Apple Pay and had an email confirmation at 12:03 AM.

I ordered the same but all I have is a UPS shipping label that was created 2 days ago with todays date listed on it. But my status still shows preparing for shipment.

Just received confirmation of dispatch email :D

I was just about giving up on the hope it would arrive tomorrow, and then got the notification from Apple.

I ordered my SS :apple:Watch BSB @ 08:02 (UK)
Payment was taken on card around 2pm Weds and status changed to preparing to dispatch at the same time.
Received dispatch notification around 3pm today with UPS shipping confirmation.

Can't wait!

Just curious, did you get the "email of death"?

Just got a UPS delivery email! Scheduled delivery tomorrow for a 42mm SS BSB in SoCal.

Just out of curiosity, when did you place your preorder? I have the same one on order and have an email confirmation for 5 minutes after the store went live but zero movement since then.

Did you get a preparing for shipment email first?

Just grasping at straws here ;)

Same here. 42mm SS BSB, South Florida. Confirmation :03. No e-mail, no change in status.

Also in South Florida. Ordered within the hour. 42 space grey sport.

I have always ordered within the hour and received on launch day. This launch blows. Kills the excitement.

If you spend $500 on a luxury item, you expect your luxury item to arrive as it has in the past for every other luxury item from the same company. Apple has royally messed up this launch.

I can understand why some people are very upset. The launch day arrivals, are part of the reason why pre ordering and new Apple products are SO successful. Otherwise, a few of these launches and everyone will just wait like every other schmoe.

someone plzzzzzz give us some HOPE and show your 42 mm SS with black sport band, shipped or at least preparing order. havent seen 1 YET!!! :(

Which model did you order? And what country are you in?

Here's a question: Has anyone downloaded any new apps just because you want them on your Watch? If so which ones?

I ordered the 38" SS Classic band and I am in Chicago, US

I have a white aluminum 38mm that I ordered right at the start of preorders (email at 2 minutes after), and I'm still at Preparing for Shipment. I'm going to be really upset if I don't get mine on launch day because Angela wouldn't let us line up. This has been the worst Apple product launch, by far.

on its way

silver 38mm with white band on its way.

for the people who ordered the space grey (38 or 42) - anybody getting theirs on the 24th? it seems most deliveries for tomorrow are for the silver..

Do you have any evidence what so ever that backs up your claim of a "shaky supply chain?" I'm not talking about conjecture based on preorder threads around the Internet. I'm talking about fact.

Apple has literally one of the best of not the best supply chains in the world and their supply chain management is world class. Not sure where you are getting your information but your premise is simply wrong.
